Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How does the detuning work?

A: We do not offer any detuning services, so if you wish to detune the Atlas Lens Co. 1.4x LF Extender (PL Lens to PL-Mount) you would have to find a detuning solution elsewhere.

Q: 2. Will this fit the Canon 14mm f/2.8 mark II?

A: The Canon 14mm f2.8 Mark 2 lens fits best in the LP1016 case: https://bhpho.to/44lJjnz

Q: 3. Will this fit my 70-200mm 2.8 L IS II USM lens with the ET-87 hood attached backwards?

A: No, it would not. The Canon LP1224 Lens Case B&H # CALP1224 is designed for use with the smaller Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM Lens, not for use with the larger Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens. The interior dimensions of the Canon LP1224 Lens Case are 3.1 x 5.4 . The dimensions of the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens by itself (without the lens hood) is approximately 3.5 x 7.8 , much larger than the case's dimensions, not including the lens hood connected to the lens. The Canon LZ1326 Lens Case, B&H # CALZ1326, is the correct case designed for use with (and included with) the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens, and would support the lens hood attached in the reversed storage position.

Q: 4. Will the 400 2.8 ISII USM lens fit in this case?

A: Yes, the Canon LS400 will fit the Canon EF 400mm f/2.8 IS II USM Lens.

Q: 5. Would this case work for a Canon RF 100-400 mm lens with the lens hood in the reversed position?

A: The Canon LZ1326B Lens Case is too large for the Canon 100-400 RF lens. Instead this Lowepro would be a better fit: https://bit.ly/3SpBslF

Q: 6. What’s the matching SKB case model if we want to stack another case?

A: The Atlas Lens Co. 3-Lens IP67 Case with Foam (Set B) (B&H# ATIP673LCWFB) is a proprietary design. However, the SKB 3I-1914-8B-C Mil-Std Waterproof Case 8" Deep (Black) (B&H# SK3I19148BC) is very close to it in terms of measurements and specifications: https://bhpho.to/40XmXI9

Q: 7. Can it fit Canon RF 600 f4?

A: The Canon 600C Lens Case is too small for the Canon RF 600mm f/4 L IS USM Lens.

Q: 8. would this accommodate the canon 300mm f2.8L IS II USM with hood and cover?

A: Yes, the Canon LS400 Lens Case can accommodate the Canon 300mm f2.8L IS II USM with hood and cover.

Q: 9. Can this be used with the Atlas Mercury on a super 35 sensor camera like the RED Komodo to achieve a full frame field of view?

A: The Atlas Lens Co. 1.4x LF Extender (PL Lens to PL-Mount) increases focal length in order for Super 35mm lenses to function with full frame and larger sensors. It will NOT expand the field of view for super 35mm sensors. For example: "Equivalent Focal Lengths: Orion 21mm + 1.4x expander = ~29mm" It expands the focal length of a 21mm to 29mm, but allows the Orion 21mm super 35mm lens to work on a full frame, but at a 29mm focal length.

Q: 10. How many keys come with the locking case?

A: 2 keys are included.

[Latch] I just got mine yesterday and it exceeded my expectation...I replaced my travel case (10 years worn!) and got this case for a lot less $$$...Don't bother withe the $300+ cases out there..This case is great for location shooting...It's not an Aircase, but it's built pretty tough..Well worth the money.

[5.335 lb] I use 4 Manfrotto 12 foot tall air cushioned light stands, 2 shorter back light stands and a whole bunch of gaffer equipment on field shoots with off camera strobes and both reflector and shoot through umbrellas when shooting in the field. Occasionally will throw in a monolight too. All of this equipment along with tripods, back drop poles, etc fit nicely in the back of my van but, you guessed it rattled around a bit. Then there was the problem of moving all the equipment from the car to the shooting location. This case solved my problem. It is big, well made and holds everything. Strobes, stands, umbrellas, monopods, snoots, and other light control hardware and lots of bungles all fit in this case with room to spare. The red interior works like the Kata, yellow interiors to make your small gear easy to spot in the case in low light situations. the wheels make moving the case long distances a breeze. It holds a lot of heavy equipment but is well balanced making it a joy to move. All of the zippers work well and there are some fast access pockets as well. The case has a carry handle on each end and a center grab handle as well. This is professional equipment and your professional equipment needs to be in a case like this when you take it into the field. However - it will not fit under your seat on in the overhead on an airplane. Make sure you have a Van or an SUV to haul it. It will not fit in the trunk of a compact car!

[Precut Foam] I added this to get follow focus on EF 11-24 and it is a perfect fit, very professional looking.

[Handle] After only a few weeks of use, I can happily say that this bag is great. It is well thought out and very practical. I am currently hauling around the following in it comfortably: - 3 Einsteins and cables - 3 8 standard reflectors - 3 balcar speed rings - Tri-grip reflector - 2 x-small chimera boxes - 1 medium chimera box - Heavy duty extension cord with winder - Other misc. cords and gels. And with all that, there's easily still room to spare. One of my absolute favourite features is that the wheels are great and it has little kickstand legs, allowing the bag to stand on its own. Only downside (and it's very minor) is what other people mentioned, that the zipper is kinda cheap - sticky and somewhat flimsy.

[Latch] Bought these to adapt my DSLR and DSLM glass to my Tilta Nucleus and follow focus systems. Worked beautifully. The ring is made of a strong rigid plastic that works much better with lens control and follow focuses than the hard rubber rings out there. It does need to be custom sized, but this is ultimately a good thing as it has worked on far more lenses than the spec sheet indicates. The one downside is that they don't include anything to trim the ring with and you'll have to find something to cut it with (I had a pair of shears).

[Yes] I travel often. The lighting bag I had to travel was lacking many things. I really did not want to drop $$ on a suitcase, but considering some valuable things needed to be protected, I splurged. Having wheels was a must, and they are very sturdy and roll nicely. The rigid walls make the case a little heavier than I was expecting, adding weight to that 50lb limit, but once again I feel better when the luggage carosel at the airport spits it out. I am very happy with my purchase and I do recommend this for anyone that does a lot of air travel.

[Latch] A lot of bokeh at 65mm, but one of the lightest ones in the Orion set (besides the 32mm). Lighter than 40mm

[Yes] I wish I got this years before. I love the product. Material feels great and I was able to fit all my simple lights in it. Now I will not have to worry about damaging my equipment or look unprofessional.
