The APC UPS Network Card 3 with Environmental Monitoring MODBUSfrom APC UPS Network Card 3 with Environmental Monitoring MODBUSis compatible with Smart-UPS devices with a SmartSlot with the SUM, SURT, SURTA, SURTD, SMT, SMX, and SRT

prefixes, and SUA devices manufactured after 2008. It is also compatible with single phase Symmetra UPS devices. It provides users with two USB ports, which support grading the NMC and UPS firmware from a USB flash drive, plus the optional APC USB Wi-Fi Device. It also supports one universal input/output port, which lets you connect a temperature or temperature/humidity sensor, or relay an input/output connector that supports two input contacts and one output relay using the optional AP9810 Dry Contact I/O Accessory. Using the serial RS485 sport, you'll be able to take advantage of Modbus RU support.

A: How long the APC Battery Back-UPS Pro BX850M lasts will depend on the total load of all the connected devices. This UPS has a maximum load of 510W, and at that load, it will have a runtime of about 2 minutes. At a half-load of 255W, however, the runtime will be about 8.9 minutes.

Q: 4. Is the output 510W limited to outage OR anytime including normal power grid operation making it insufficient for a gaming PC?

A: The APC Battery Back-UPS Pro BX850M is limited to 510W output at all times. For a gaming PC that needs more power, I'd recommend the APC Battery Back-UPS Pro BX1500M, B&H # APBX1500M, as long as your PC is under 900W.

A: Yes, you can use CyberPower RC UPS Cloud Monitoring Card to monitor select CyberPower UPS systems.

A: The APC BE1050G3 Back-UPS System (BH #APBE1050G3) is able to run at full load at 600W for approximately 2 minutes. For a half rated load it is approximately 9.5 minutes.

Q: 7. Can you control the outlets (turn them on and off) through this expansion card?

A: The CyberPower RC UPS Cloud Monitoring Card cannot be used to enable or disable individual outlets on your UPS.

Q: 8. Can you prevent this from beeping when the power is out? I want to put it in my crawlspave where my FIOS ONT is, so having it beep there would be annoying

A: No, the Beep is there to let you know that your devices are now running on battery power

A: Thank you for your interest in our products. Unfortunately the BN450M is likely too small for a gaming PC. The BN450M would only support 255 watts of equipment connected to it so it will likely become overloaded. I would just confirm how large the power supply is in the PC and make sure the UPS would support the PC. Likely you will need something from our BackUPS Pro line like the BX1000M. [0.955 lb] The Card works well, but if you upgrade the firmware, or put the correct firmware on for your type of UPS you will still be able to ping the card but the Web Interface will not work. The fix is to unplug the card and then plug it back in and it should work fine. 5

The amount of customization in the NMC is very impressive. You can customize thresholds, alarms, and graceful shutdown of independent power bays. These features ensure that your equipment will be protected in even the worst power nightmares and will provide stable power during medium length power outages securiny safe shutdown of servers and high-end gaming rigs. I got this for my home office in tandem with the Smart UPS 1500va. We have chronic power grid issues due to city overexpansion with power outages almost weekly. This UPS system is providing solid protection and I plan on buying more to proof all of our gaming and networking gear. 5

I run my home network through it, so when blackouts/brownouts occur, I can continue my job in my home office. Getting it setup took a little bit of time, but overall I am happy with it. 5

[0.955 lb] I never really understood the use of a network card in my APC. I decided to get one and I love how I know can get metrics and alerts on APC unit. Everything from power outages to what is being used I now have access too. Install and setup is very easy and there is next to no maintenance for it. If you are getting an APC this is am must have add on. 5

You can get fairly granular with items or conditions you wish to monitor. Much more so than with just the standard network connection on the UPS itself. 5
