[Zipper] In week 4 of using the backpack, very impressed with it. I used a swissgear backpack for many years and transitioned to a more business laptop carrying back the last 2 years but was upgrading and needed to be able to have more stuff follow me between home and the office. The quality of this is outstanding, i haven't ran across anything yet where I thought "i don't like that". I carry a lenova mobile workstation so thick laptop, ipad, two notepads in the large pouch, airbuds and others quick electronics in the top pouch, smaller notebooks and accessories' cables in the the next one. the one after that is a little more shallow which is great for my trackball and charger cord, and the front pouch has my pens, work specific keys, business cards and other smaller items. I still have a ton more room in each compartment. It's starting to get warm here and in full 2 strap backpack mode I do still get a little sweat but I'm a larger guy, this is just a note and not a complaint. If anything changes I will come back and update but so far I'm very happy with this purchase.

[8 lb] I use my portfolio box everyday. I am a full time student and having this product is a great way to keep all of my images safe. The outside of the portfolio box is hard and durable, and for my works on the inside it is nice and soft so nothing is damaged.

[8 lb] I purchased this product as part of a Photographic Portfolio class. A couple of other students purchased the same type of box. Overall, it performed well for the intended purpose and, to me, was just as good if not more useful than some of the expensive ($100) portfolio cases. As described it is a black box with a white interior; there are no plastic sleeves. When viewing, the photos are lifted out of one half of the box and placed into the other. If you want to keep your photos in order for the next reviewer, I recommend carefully placing them facedown in the other half of the box. When it is time to reset them, all you have to do is lift the stack and turn it over. Otherwise, you have to resort the stack one photo at a time.

[Yes] There’s many reasons to love their bags. 1) the water and air tight zippers. 2) the super high quality Velcro and thick dividers. 3) strong stitching. 4) protection of my gear. 5) side pockets for batteries (it’s not listed as so but they fit perfectly). 6) the clear zipper pockets up top so you can see hardware. 7) enough room for my MacBook AND/OR extra gear like monitors and batteries.

This bag is built STRONG and i know because I’ve had many rip on me at the shoulder straps in the past. The zippers and materials used are durable and exactly what my bag full of $17k worth of gear deserves - and you’re too. The whole bag feels padded. - unlike MANY other bags.

My one ask would be to have optional straps and hooks to easier attach gimbals and travel tripods. Or to make the same bag 25% bigger! Right now I have yo bodies on cages, mics, filters, 2 zoom lenses and two primes that fit in the main area.

[Zipper] This is one of very few backpacks that will hold a large 17" laptop. My laptop measures 16.5" x 11" x 2" and slips in easily. I suspect another 1/2" in any dimension would fit. Its also a well made sturdy bag. One of my friends bought this same bag a couple years ago and uses it every day. it still appears almost new. One draw back is that there is no connection between the front straps to keep it from falling off when walking with your arms at your side. I think it stays put pretty well but would prefer a connection here.

[Yes] Bought this to replace a 20+ year old travel backpack. Originally bought the Renegade, but returned it as it has too many features and I needed a basic travel backpack. Just returned from two weeks in Europe, and it was perfect. Mesh on the side for water bottles and umbrellas were great. Highly recommend.

[Zipper] This bag has great space and isn’t too big or two small. It’s perfect for bringing home laptop, keypad, mouse and gear. I can load it up and still have room for my headphones.
