Q: 1. On the rear of the unit there is print stating that this thing is supposed to work with both US and European AC power, how is that possible? But if it indeed does, do you have to switch out the fuse inside it, and what fuse would you need for 120 Volts and for 230 Volts?

A: There are many products today which have an automatic power conversion adaptor built into the input stage of the power converter. It is common for laptop as well as tower-type computers to have a/c input which looks for the input a/c voltage, and depending on the reading, the power supply converts the a/c source to the proper circuit in order to arrive at the proper d/c conversion. In a unit such as this, there is no d/c conversion. It is essentially just a multiple a/c power strip with individual switches which are tied into led lights. The product is rated for 230volts a/c, which is the highest a/c power source that one may find. Any a/c power level below that will be handled because the unit is rated for 230 volts a/c. Many multiple-outlet power strips can be used with European 230 volts a/c supply. They will pass the a/c voltage just fine, if their breaker or fuse is rated for 230 volts a/c. The only difference when using such a product as this in the USA, or in Europe is the need to choose the proper plug to get the power cord to mate with the supplied a/c outlet. This is my understanding of how units like this can be made to function across a variety of a/c input voltages from 100 volts to 230 volts, and not require modification.

Q: 2. What is the Equipment Protection Policy on this?

A: Ubiquiti is a well known company for making very high qualty, dependable products that perform as specified. the product itself comes witha 1-Year Warranty Product data sheet link here: https://dl.ubnt.com/datasheets/ETH-SP/Ethernet_Surge_Protector_DS.pdf

Q: 3. What is the maximum amp rating?

A: I am asking about total current draw through the entire device - all the outlets combined. I am guessing 15 Amps, based on no information except that most cube taps are 15 amps maximum.

Q: 4. Does this unit come with cable that goes to the port at the back labelled as 'Data Port'? Is it the one related to PowerChute?

A: Yes, mine included a data cable.

Q: 5. Does this product have AVR?

A: Yes, the APC BN1350M2 has AVR, as does the rest of the APC Back-UPS series.

Q: 6. What are the dimensions and weight of the Pro BR 1000V?

A: Here are the Dimensions and weight for the Pro BR 1000V: Dimensions-10.24 x 3.94 x 14.49 /260 x 100 x 368 mmWeight - 22.49 lb / 10.2 kg

Q: 7. How long it will provide power supply to your electronic devices when there is a power outage?

A: That will highly depend on what you connect and how much power they draw, there is no other way to find out exactly. At half load (300W) it will provide up to 3.7 minutes. At full load (600W) up to 12.2 minutes. If your devices are below that, it could last for a lot longer.

Q: 8. What's the difference between APC's BN1350M2, BN1350VA and BR1350M2, please?

A: Thank you for your interest in our products. The BN1350M2 is the same model as the BN1350VA. The BN1350VA is just the family name for the BN1350M2. The BR1350MS is different from the BN1350M2 because the BR1350MS produces a pure sine wave both on and off battery. The BN1350M2 would have a pure sine wave while the UPS is online but when the UPS goes to battery it would be a step approximated sine wave. The BN1350M2 should work with most equipment but some equipment requires the pure sine wave both on and off battery like the BR1350MS produces.

Q: 9. What is the amp-hour capacity of the battery in the APC Back-UPS 550?

A: APC does not specify, but it has been independently tested to be about 7 AH.

Q: 10. Is there software to monitor battery status from the PC?

A: Included along with the APC Back-UPS Pro is the downloadable PowerChute software program to monitor energy usage and prevent data corruption by automatically saving files and shutting down a computer system. The PowerChute software can also be used to monitor the status of the battery backup.

[Yes 1650 Joules] I really like this swivel charger for charging in Canada, though reading the various reviews, I have the same problem concerning 220V. I will be travelling to Indonesia (220V) and now not sure if I will need a voltage converter or if I can just use this charger with the correct adapter for 220v.

[120 VAC, 60 Hz] It was delivered quickly. At first I was not impressed the switch was very loose had trouble pushing plugs into some of receptors but other than that I like it because it cleaned up an area that looked like griswold family XMAS

[Yes 1650 Joules] This is a very well made surge protector. I bought similar looking power supply's on eBay and the connectors wear out and were never tight with initial use and eventually after 8 months it would be useless. The Tessan connectors are tight and snug. I feel this will last me a long time.

[4x NEMA 5-15R] I am using this for multiple battery chargers for tools. It accomodates them well. There are so many outlets that space for larger charge cords, such as the ones with the transformer-rectifier as the plug, are easy to plug in. It was easy to hang on a wall. I have not used the USB charge ports yet.

[120 VAC, 60 Hz] I bought this as a 2-pack and it was a good value. I needed to replace a couple of power strips and this was cost-effective, as well as giving me the flexibility of moving the UBB adapters as needed.
