Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi grate to see a grip that will work on the canon C70. Just bought it. If anyone has any further set up suggestions please let me know. Look forward to receiving this. Cheers.

A: Depending on your specific preferences regarding the rigging of your Canon C70, the CAMEOGEAR CameoGrip Retro Handgrip with 20" LANC Cable (B&H# CACAMGRIPL) could work very well for you attached to this: Wooden Camera 15mm LWS Baseplate for Canon C70 (B&H# WO288400) https://bhpho.to/3nURt3s

Q: 2. Will this work with C500 MKII?

A: Yes, the Wooden Camera Handgrip Extension Cable for Select Canon C-Series Cameras (20") would also work with the Canon C500 Mark II.

Q: 3. Is there a tip or short cable that will adapt the male plug into a 2.5mm male plug?

A: The Wooden Camera Handgrip Extension Cable for Select Canon C-Series Cameras (20") (B&H# WO251900) features a TRRS 3.5mm plug. There is no adapter that we sell nor have we seen to go to a 2.5mm plug from that.

Q: 4. Does the fingerguard come included?

A: No, the Leica M11 Handgrip would not include the fingerguard.

Q: 5. Will this be compatible with the new model Sony ZV-E10 II?

A: No, the SmallRig Camera Cage with Right-Side Handgrip for Sony ZV-E10 is not compatible with the Sony ZV-E10 II Mirrorless Camera (BH #SOZVE102B), as the mark two is a little bit taller than the Sony ZV-E10 Mirrorless Camera (Black) is, so it won't fit inside this camera cage.

Q: 6. What's the size of the lens thread? 17mm?

A: The ShiftCam 10x Macro ProLens BH #SHPLMC20EN is a M12 x P0.75.

Q: 7. Can this work with the Canon R7 or R5?

A: No, the CAMEOGEAR CameoGrip Retro Handgrip with 20" LANC Cable is incompatible with the Canon EOS R7 Mirrorless Camera and the Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 8. Can you use this with the phone in vertical orientation?

A: The SHAPE Friction Smartphone Clamp with Tripod & Cold Shoe Mount that is included in the SHAPE Vlogging Kit for iPhone can be rotated to vertical or horizontal.

Q: 9. Is there an adapter that will attach to the male end and convert it to a 2.5mm male plug?

A: Such an adapter would have to have the correct pin alinement to support communication between the camera and the handgrip, we are not aware of any such adapter.

Q: 10. Will it work on a Z CAM?

A: CAMEOGEAR CameoGrip Retro Handgrip with 20" LANC Cable (B&H# CACAMGRIPL) is designed to function with certain Canon cinema cameras and Sony mirrorless and cinema cameras (see the Camera Compatibility section below). Unfortunately, because the protocols used for control with those are different from the ones for Z CAM products it will not work for Z CAM cameras that are currently available. We recommend the RVLVR Right-Side Remote Clutch Handle with LANC Camera Control (Black Walnut) (B&H# RVLCLUTCH1) for the Z CAM E2, E2-S6, E2-F6, E2-G, E2-C, and E2-F8: https://bhpho.to/37gTrW4

[0.615 lb] i have had quite a few thermal phones, and let me say, this is the BEST to date (feb 2023). The PX1 is layers ahead of BLACKVIEW, CAT,DOOGEE,AGM,etc... (its funny because the PX1 is AGM-but the upper brand version)
Infiray refined the camera and software to great sucess. Your paying for the details, and its worth it. Yes their is a lot of options and even more comming for thermal phones, but this device Stands out to me in so many ways. The size is perfect to me. (think how a premium flagship feels, and then one-up it) its got built-in bumpers that feel well, and inspire how you hold it. Cameras are great (both), and its not a top-teir samsung/iphone class, its plenty amazing for myself. (i am not chasing DLSR). Software side, this device has much more polish and finish than most. its only android 11, and i doubt it will be upgraded because thats the nature of oddity devices. Still, once you start diging into the ROM, its refind in ways , very few other companies do. will i root/hack it?? yes, but not right away. its a pure android experience, and to compare this to a major brand is foolish, because it has ZERO bloatware! AGM has been slowly building quality and INFIRAY picked a real gem to polish/tune.
important- if you get this, make sure to upgrade the thermal software (its inside the IR app itself, under about/settings) it adds a few more tweaks and features.
The macro cam works great but i also use a premium camera app from PLAY store. (not stock app)
If Infiray continues to repeat this, by doing another phone, i can say with geeky-ness , i will be watching very close. closing- i really hope, the other companies watching this , learn and can strive for this kind of polish and finish. (ps: this device can handle a 1TB micro SDXC card)

[0.615 lb] I bought this device for birding, specifically looking for owls at night. Some of the top thermal scopes cost upwards of $4k. The problem is, they are clearly marked as Export Controlled. I don't want to get into any trouble with those. This little plug-in camera cost only $400. So I decided to give it a try. I brought it to Guatemala a few days ago, hooked up with an old Pixel 3A phone, it worked great, far better than I expected. I found an owl at night perched silently behind our cabin on my second night there. I could see the red-hot owl based on the body shape. Even smaller birds can show up as hotspots at night. Definitely worth the $$$.

[0.615 lb] Been using this on a camera cage for over a year now and it's nothing less than perfect. Only wish it came with a matching rosette to lock it in place. Had to buy that seperately.

[0.615 lb] Great unit to see heat signatures of all kind. I have used it in house and the woods. The other night in complete darkness my dog was going crazy by the fence. I used it and seen a rabbit tantalizing him.

[0.615 lb] Easy set up. Worked right off the bat and saw birds in the trees, deer many yards away, and lots of mice in the field. Fun to use.

[0.615 lb] I was blown away by the image quality of this unit. I’ve used 320 and 640 handheld units before as well as the top of the lineup Seek phone camera. The processing on the T2 is phenominal. The relatively large front lens is a huge plus too. The image from this rivals the better 320 cores I’ve used. The resolution isn’t as good, but for distance viewing what’s more important is handling noise. The Seek cannot handle noise at all. It turns to a blurry mess shortly even though it’s higher resolution. Even some of the standalone 320 units don’t process noise out as well, making the final picture harder to see.

The T2 processing cuts out the noise while keeping detail. The plain white hot/black hot modes do great to show detail in settings like neighborhoods while the highlight contrast mode makes animals/people stick out from the background significantly. Very helpful when trying to see if the warm thing is something the sun heated a bit or something living.

The phone holder fit both the camera and phone snugly without cranking down on the adjustments. The handle makes viewing much more stable than without, though it’s not required. Still, the stability matched to the zoom of the lens makes the handle a huge plus.

If you’re interested in trying thermal or have a use where having your phone out isn’t a problem, the T2 is the perfect low cost, high value unit. Others may be better for circuit board work or other niches, but for general outdoor activities the T2 Pro is the best bargain going.
