A: While we have not tested this fish eye on the HPX-170, since the camcorder has a 72mm filter thread and this fish eye has likewise a 72mm mount, we believe it should work. This a not guaranteed.

A: It should screw directly on, be aware that the back end of the fisheye sticks out a bit past the thread so you may need a few spacers or 72mm filter so you dont scratch the camera lens.

A: No, there is no way to mount this on the camcorder. Your camcorder has a filter ring with a diameter of 43mm. This adapter fits on 72mm threads.

[Aluminum] I find these much more convenient than the plastic, spring loaded caps. they are a lot more expensive, but worth it in my estimation. I also use K&F concepts magnetic caps. 5

[Aluminum] Most of my lenses are 67mm so it is essential to have an adapter on each of the lenses so I can switch lenses and not have to unscrew the magnetic adapter and put it onto a new lens but can just pop on one of the magnetic filters. I also got the lens caps for each of the lenses. Kase's magnetic properties on these accessories is pretty darn strong. I don't have to hear about having the filter fall off because the magnets not hard enough. 5

[72 mm] I bought this adapter for my Canon XH-A1, and let me tell you, the image you get with a mixture of 24f, and this adapter, is staggering. It give such a Film-Like feel, you would swear it is film. It's made out of durable metal, and yes, it is a little on the heavy side, but as long as you have supporter rods for it, its no problem. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to create a film look to their videos, without going to film. 5

[Aluminum] Bought this system for a travel lens and found it to be better than expected. I bought the filter adapter ring also and love how quickly the cap and filter can be changed and how securely they fit on the lens. 5

[Aluminum] I don't know how I ever lived without these. They are so convenient to put on and take off, they're absolutely hassle-free and never jumping off your lens when trying to attach it. No fiddling around in your time of need, just on and off and done. 5

[72 mm] Used with a Panasonic DVX100a Letus35 extreme is definitely a must have for those looking for great depth of field and film look. Just a little bit heavy but worth it as it gives a flip corrected footage. 5
