A: Yes you could use the wide adapter ring on all lenses with a 82mm front filter thread. The wide angle adapter ring has a recessed thread witch allows a filter holder to be mounted closer to the lens therefor reducing the chance of dark shadows in the corners of a image. check out a video on you-tube by Joe Cornish for Lee Filters for more info.

A: No, it appears that a lens cap will not attach to the front of this.

A: The GF250 takes an 82mm filter, therefore the adapter ring chosen is correct.

A: If the lens is smaller than the filter (77mm lens - 82mm filter ring) then it's a step-up ring rather than a step-down ring. But yes, using a step-up ring this adapter will work with your 77mm front-diameter lens and will allow you to mount the Lee 100mm system filter holder.

[82 mm] It doesn't have a lot of functionality to mess up: it covers the lens when I'm not using it. A nice touch that's not clear from the product's page on the site -- at least it wasn't clear for me -- is the inside is flocked 5

[82 mm] It works perfectly with the Revolution filter system. It's easy to install, fits closer to the lens, and helps prevent vignetting on ultra-wide angle lenses. 5
