[Handheld] Working perfectly for me. I attached it to my Polsen PL-5 Lav mic and I've had no issues. I love the design and the fact that it has 2 clips, one in front (with multiple slots) and one in the back.. Having multiple slots on the front clip allows you to use 2 Lavs if you'd like for redundancy or as a back-up. And the clip on the back is great for a stress relief of the cable and/or for a loop so the mic sits nicely on the shirt and the cable is neat. I love that. I also love that both clips swivel/rotate. This makes it easy to position the mic and cable properly. It also makes it easy to place the clip going to the right or going to the left. So, it easy to position the mic for a male or female made shirt. The clip is plastic, but is well-made and should last a long time if treated properly. I plan on getting a few of these clips and keep them in my kit as back-ups or if another gets misplaced. You can never be too prepared. [Handheld] I use lots of microphones intensively every day - 4-5 at any given time, sometimes even more, for legal depositions, and they are abused quite a bit. Frustrated attorneys and deponents alike throw them on the table, pull them by getting up from the conference table forgetting to detach them, etc. I am switching to these MX183s because of the modular build: I love the fact that all parts are available right here at B&H (capsule, base, and XLR barrel), so if for example the cable is torn, I don't need to purchase a complete unit. Pleasant full body sound, high level output, shows little sensitivity to positioning. Priced right.

This lav clip is small and very light but it gets the job done. For the cost I intend to pick up a few more as I tend to lose these easily and I have several lavs.

This lav clip is constructed of all plastic and I can see these clips getting lost or broken with lots of use, but for the cost its worth picking up more than one from the onset.

[0.25 lb] This is a great sounding lav with an amazing price that I've recently used on a professional shoot. It works on many voices and has a wider frequency response and maximum spl (20 Hz to 20 kHz, 130dB SPL) than the popular Sanken COS-11D (50-20khz, 127dB SPL).

When micing properly, you will get amazing low mids that will add extra umph to the voice without it being sibilant. Some might find that's not as natural sounding, however, pro tip: add low cut filter on your mixer/recorder or post and it will take away that umph and give you a natural sound. It is also better for a mic to capture more frequencies so you have more to work with.

At this price that will sound amazing (and better than some boom mics) when you pair it with the right system, this is a no brainer. It also has a great size with good water/weatherproofing. Don't let the brand and the price fool you.

[Handheld] I am a professional Audio Engineer working in the television industry. Discreet microphones (and their cords!!) are a necessity. The design of this clip is genius. It holds the stress loop and cord in place, which makes placing the microphone on your Talent very fast and efficient. No fumbling around trying to catch the cord in the back of the clip anymore!! Also, equally as noteworthy, it rotates!! Placing a microphone on clothing with a round neckline (Like a ladies blouse, or a t-shirt) can easily be accomplished! The design alone is why I give this 5 stars!! HOWEVER...there are a few things that need to be noted. The clip could be a little stronger. It does not hold tightly. But that being said...in some cases where your Talent will not be moving around, it is also a blessing that it is not stronger! It is so lightweight, that it can be used on delicate fabrics. Lastly, watch the cord dimensions when you are ordering this clip. (In other words, learn from my mistakes!!) It is available in 0.8-1.5mm and 1.5-2.5mm. The Sony ecm77 wired, and Shure WL-50 (used on older model ULX1 wireless bodypack) WILL NOT fit in the smaller (0.8-1.5mm) size clip. Since it is fairly obvious that I know this due to experiencing it, I will share a workaround!! I used a drill press and bored the opening a little larger, but that is a little time consuming! I also ordered the larger size and it fit perfectly. So in summary...I definitely recommend this clip. I will be purchasing a few more. It is a great, inexpensive clip. Just make sure that you have a heavier duty clip to use in situations where your talent will be standing, or moving around.
