Amaran COB 60x S Bi-Color LED Monolightexpands its LED monolight line with the S-series COB 60x S Bi-Color LED Monolight, adopting the quality of light and the compact and lightweight form of the previous COB 60x. Featuring an upgraded LED chipset design, this 65W fixture provides a variable 2700-6500K color temperature and ultra-high SSI score across the board for extremely accurate and improved color reproduction. This point-source video light has a surprising output of 33,300 lux at 3.3' when paired with the included mini hyper reflector. A variety of nine lighting effects are easily accessible to help you simulate different creative looks. [78 W (Maximum)] I had my doubts, but after hearing the amazing things EVERYONE had to say about it, I picked one up. And wow, it's great! Bright, sidus link is great as always, it's light, takes a ton of different battery options and small enough to put in any corner (and to not have to put on a c-stand)! I'll be using this a lot as my main light for my spotlight attachment. Highly recommend. I have a smallrig 220-something and an amaran 150 and this is a great addition - holds up well with the other lights I have. 5

[Yes] It's the quality of what was once the more than $700 Dollar Ronin-S for half the price. Humorously it comes in one of those closed cell foam containers just like the first Ronin-S did. All jokes aside, it's a truly fantastic light! 5

[Yes] This light is very bright considering the size and 60w power consumption. I also have Amarán 200 XS bicolor and it’s brighter than this 60 watt version but this one is a lot faster to setup especially if you have Sony type NPF batteries. I have a third party NPF batteries for this light and works fine. One thing I wished for is that hand bracket design isn’t that great. It doesn’t sit flush with the battery adapter. But partly it could be because Amarán just didn’t want you to make this light sit straight. More risk of damage that way. At least I decided to tell myself that. I do professional videography and this won’t be the only sole light to use for one gig. But this 60 watt range is nice. Small and handy. 5

[2700 to 6500K] Shortened version: Excellent, portable light that is best used as FILL LIGHTING for QUICK lighting setups. Longer Version: This light is fabulous! Its deceptively powerful; though, I would only choose this as a cheaper alternative to a portable, battery-powered lighting option. That being said, it does the trick; currently using it as a fill to my much more powerful Amaran 300x. Disclaimer: I am a freelance filmmaker using this as fill for INTERVIEW lighting. Its small-scale, fast to setup, and portable. This makes it an excellent choice for quick and easy lighting setups if you're on the go like myself. I would not choose to bring this light if I: A. Had more time to set up a professional interview B. Aren't able to get as close to the subject C. Am shooting a narrative film. That being said, the pros: 1. Small and compact 2. Easy to setup 3. Option of AC or Battery power 4. Can be controlled remotely off an app 5. Has special effect settings 6. Comes with a case--though, there is a downside that I mention in the cons 7. Locking mechanism for the cord Cons: 1. Deceptively heavy 2. Not particularly powerful -- excellent as fill, not the best as a key light 3. Special effect settings are only available on the app 4. Batteries are NOT included and will have to be purchased separately 5. The case it comes with is really hard to repack. Overall, I think this light is marvelous. I mentioned that it suits my needs exactly and I believe that wholeheartedly! That said, there is always a flipside to the situation. There are other options, which are cheaper and have additional effects--though, they have their own list of cons to consider. 5

I already have an aputure b7c bulb, so I know I could trust these people! so far everything works well for the price it offers, though I would consider using a different modifier because the included adapter doesn't evenly distribute the light. 5
