Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this lens compatible with Fuji extension tubes?

A: Yes. The FUJIFILM GF 110mm f/5.6 T/S Macro Lens can be used with the Fuji extension tubes.

Q: 2. filter size? 72?

A: This lens accepts 72mm filters.

Q: 3. will this fit on the 50mm f3.5?

A: No, this Fujifilm Lens Hood is only for the GF 45mm f/2.8 R WR Lens.

Q: 4. Is there an adapter available to use this lens on a Hasselblad digital camera?

A: No, unfortunately there aren't any adapters in this point of time (February 2024) that will allow Hasselblad cameras to use Fuji GF lenses.

Q: 5. Which country was this lens made?

A: The FUJIFILM GF 55mm f/1.7R WR Lens (FUJIFILM G) is made in Fujifilm's manufacturing facility in Japan.

Q: 6. Are the tilt & shift function parallel or perpendicular to each other? Is is possible to change this easily?

A: The tilt and shift controls on the FUJIFILM GF 30mm f/5.6 T/S Lens can be positioned next to each other or at 90 degrees from each other.

Q: 7. The GF 23mm and 45-100mm share the same front element diameter(82mm). Would this Lens Hood fit on the 45-100mm?

A: No. The following lens hood is designed and made for the GF 23mm f/4 R LM WR Lens only.

Q: 8. Can you confirm that this is for the 250mm f4 lens for GFX, not the xf as mentioned under key features? Thanks.

A: The FUJIFILM Hood for GF 250mm f/4 R LM OIS WR Lens is the correct lens hood for the FUJIFILM GF 250mm f/4 R LM OIS WR Lens; it is not the correct lens hood for the XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR Lens.

Q: 9. I understand that the filter thread is 105. The specs say via adapter. Is the adapter included? also what filter is recommended?

A: The FUJIFILM GF 30mm f/5.6 T/S Lens (FUJIFILM G) includes the adapter. The filter you use depends on the subject. If you need to cut reflections, get the Sigma 105mm WR (Water Repellent) Circular Polarizer Filter, BH #SICPWR105.

Q: 10. can anyone comment on focus breathing?

A: There has been no reports that we know of any focus breathing with this lens. Being a telephoto prime we would expect very little anyway.

[Bayonet] With the onset of lockdown, I had decided to do some macrophotography with my GFX100. This lens is extremely sharp, and together with the MCEX-45 provides my sought after 1:1 magnification. Its exceptional OIS is an added bonus that I've found useful when using it as a short telephoto lens.

[0.225 lb] Lovely results. Works well with the 100S stabilization together. Wish Fuji made a 63mm macro.
You won't regret this purchase.

[0.225 lb] Using this lens for macro and various product photography for over a year. No issues to report so far. Coming from a spoiled Mamiya RB/645 and Canon L glass fan - this lens makes my jaw drop every time. The GFX system is top tier - B&H customer service/shipping is also the best

[0.225 lb] I recently used this lens for macro photography and was literally blown away by the result. No camera can produce the images I saw without a lens that is as good or better than the 100mb sensor. The pollen could be seen on a bee's legs as individual specs. It does not get any sharper or better than this lens.

[0.225 lb] Only macro lens fujifilm makes for g-mount. To be honest, I don’t use this lens as often as I would like. I find myself reaching for the 110 f2 instead. But the times I have used this lens, I found it very enjoyable to use.

I forget that this lens is as good a portrait lens as it is a macro lens, and I end up shooting tighter and tighter pics of my subject until I have singled out their iris!!

It brings out the creativity in you, if your a creative person that is.....

Although its f/4 you will still see the background melt away almost completely in portraits (or macro). You can’t forget that this lens is being used on a much larger sensor than the small format. F/4 is very different on both, & no, you can’t just multiply and get an equivalent, the sensor surface area still plays a huge factor in how this aperture is perceived.

This lens is sharp and stabilised built like it was meant for chasing down bugs in the Amazon.
Weather sealed this lens will be fine outdoors, you will likely be running for shelter before the bugs or the lens for that matter.....

The very large focus ring is easy to use without having to take your eye off your skittish subject.

This lens is a touch longer than the 110mm and much shorter and much lighter than the 250mm.

Add extension tubes for that MICRO realm. Although, I do love this lens is already a native 1:1 macro.

I might be the only one here giving this lens a 5 star, but I’m also the only one giving it a review. Possibly because everyone else has yet to discover the versatility of this lens.

You know what? I wasn’t going to write a review on this lens, but now that I have, I’m pumped for using this lens much more often.

Turn your back on all the bad news of the world, and immerse yourself with the backyard bugs, you never know, you may actually find something in the world to smile about......

Even ‘I’ don’t give this lens the attention it deserves....

[Bayonet] I headed downtown with just this lens to visit a small but highly thought of botanic garden in the Lower East Side (Alphabet City in Manhattan). Let's just say I was mistaken about its hours and it was closed until Saturday, at least to me (nobody was inside the gates). I didn't want to waste a 45 minute trip but thought I was out of luck with a macro lens. Surprise, I got some great street portraits from people who agreed to be photographed. 120mm in MF is very useful, I learned, as I learn every day with this system.

[Bayonet] I shoot small items and frequently take macro/very close shots. This lens produces mesmerizing images, can't rate it highly enough. Paired with the 100s, it's a dream to use imo - sharp glass, well built. Of course it's not true macro, but I have no complaints on the results

[0.225 lb] Using with GFX 100. This doesn't disappoint. Easy handling. Sharp edge to edge from f/5.6 through f/22 (with very little refraction loss up to f/22 but noticeable beyond that); little to no distortion; excellent color rendition. Even without the 45mm extension, it gets close enough for most product work detail shots. It's a bit too sharp/contrasty for portraiture work (whereas the 110 f/2 is magnificent). This has already become my most used lens. If only the hood was a bit shorter.
