[Black] Great for what it is -a lightweight telephoto zoom with great reach and WR you can easily carry on long hikes. Not the greatest focusing power for sports but perfectly adequate if you just keep holding the button. Optics are excellent. Carry-ability is superb compared to the 50-140. Definitely worth the money.

[Drawstring] I purchased this lens as an upgrade to my Fuji 55-200mm. I feel that it is a better companion to my Fuji 16-80mm as it has less overlap on the short end and gives me the extra reach on the long end.


In terms of size and weight it is only about a half inch longer than the 55-200mm and weighs about the same. Even so, I do not feel that this lens is of any lower build quality.


Optically this lens is easily on par with my Fuji 100-400mm over the same range. It is noticeably better than the than the 55-200mm, specifically beyond 135mm where the older lens does show some softness. The OIS performance is also improved over the 55-200mm


I am very happy with this lens as it gives me a lot of reach (about 450mm full-frame equivalent) with excellent optical performance in a compact and portable size. About my only minor complaint would be its bokeh characteristics. It is a bit swirly and nervous unless the background is really out of focus (i.e very distant).

[Drawstring] I purchased this lens along with a new X-T5. I am stunned at what a great combination this is. In my 70's, I have a number of chronic health issues that make weight an important consideration. I was looking for a good telephoto lens that was as light as possible but still was very sharp. I am so happy with this lens. It meets all my requirements: it is reasonable to carry; it is very sharp; and it produces great images. I would highly recommend this lens.

[Empty] I had planned on purchasing a 100-400mm lens. However after reading the reviews I learned it weighed 3.5#. The 100-400mm has better resolution. The 100-300 weights lens than my 16-55mm lens. The 100-300mm lens has enough resolution for my needs. The real question is: do you want a lens that stays on the shelf or one that is light enough every day shooting?

[Empty] I purchased this lens to bring with me to Greece latter this month. I have the 70-140mm f2.8 which I love but it's much heavier then this lens.I haven't shot with it much but I'm impressed with the I.Q. so far. Auto focus and tracking is great on my XT 3. Ergonomics are very good, I like the zoom lock that pops off when you zoom the lens. I haven't tried it in low light but I'm not expecting it to great in those conditions. Overall I'd highly recommend this lens.

[Black] Truly enjoy this lens. I am very much a prime lens photographer but saw this as a versatile all-purpose zoom lens with a good range. Still getting the hang of some of its features but very easy to use. Very light and very compact. Most of the photos I have uploaded were handheld except the moon photo (steadied against a door). The zoom is very smooth and the auto focus is very quick. Very well made. No complaints; just praise.

[Drawstring] Very pleased...Nothing I really dislike. Great range, image quality is surprisingly good...better than the 55-200. Close focusing is a bonus. All in a really light, relatively compact size.

[Drawstring] Works great with my FujiFilm X-S10. Pictures are super sharp. Photos attached were taken on my community walkaround today. (300mm/200iso at 1/500) hand held.
