The QVP-63B integrates with your network through two 2.5G Ethernet ports.

One USB-C and two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports are available for connecting 10 Gb/s compatible devices.

Connect a 4096 x 2160 resolution, 30 Hz 4K monitor using the HDMI 1.4b port to view surveillance footage directly from the NAS as though it were a dedicated workstation.

Install up to two M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 cache drives to boost the performance of your NAS. Additionally, two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots support up to 64GB of memory. Expansions such as an entry level graphics card may be installed into the PCIe 4.0 x16 and x4 slots.

Videos are saved using the non-proprietary MP4 video format.

The QVP-63B supports thousands of camera models from over 190 brands with a variety of image formats (including cameras that use ONVIF and RTSP/ HTTP streaming). Even USB webcams are supported, allowing home and budget-conscious users to quickly build surveillance solutions tailored to their environment while providing convenient camera management.

The QVP-63B provides motion detection even for entry-level cameras and USB webcams. As long as your camera can stream its footage to the QVR Pro appliance (e.g. through RTSP protocol) it supports motion detection, allowing you to build a budget-friendly, motion-detecting surveillance system.

[17.75 lb] Works as advertised. Supports VAAI storage primitives iSCSI and NFS. Easy to configure and using QuTs Hero with ZFS. Excellent performance and flexibility, as well as dedupe and compression with external cloud storage providers as replication targets. Ordered U.2 - 2xNVMe trays and have 8TB of NVMe RAID0 across 4 PCIe lanes for massive cache performance. Easily maxxed out the system RAM to 64GB using non-ECC DIMMs works great even without using QNAP provided RAM. 10Gbe networking bonded with the 2x2.5Gbe ports for 15Gbe trunked to commodity switch is fantastic. Five 7200rpm x 18TB HDD, 4xNVMe 2TB and 2x4TB SSD for 11 total drives and 106TB raw storage even only using 9 bays. This thing is incredible for a home lab setup for vSphere.

[17.75 lb] This thing is replacing my TS 653 eventually. It is whisper quiet sitting right beside me. It is a faster Celeron than the 653 and it uses metal trays instead of plastic brackets. It gives my system a nice look. One thing all should be aware of is that the holes for the rack mount are smaller than the regular rack screws so keep that in mind. I didn't increase the memory as I bought the 8 GB model, and I love the B&H Payboo Card which saves money.

[17.75 lb] Recommended by my IT guy. I bought what he told me to buy. The whole NAS thing was new to me. Once I found the right path to archiving my files, I have been quite happy with the functionality. One thing: I bought two fast solid state drives that go in the first slot of the QNAP. The rest of the slots have slower drives for long term archiving. I NEVER use the fast drives. I have found it's still much faster to work using the computer's built in drive, and then store on the slow drives when I'm done.

[64 GB] I bought this because I was impressed with my TS-470 Pro which I thought after 10 years it might be a good idea to have another NAS. It's a huge leaning curve at age 66. I used 4tb seagate drives again and added 2 x 32 DDR4 along with two 1tb ssd. My main goal is to get Plex up and running. My only complaint so far is the lack of support for AC3 codec. The fully loaded NAS is very Quite. Funny thing happened 5 years ago the 470's HDMI output failed after lighting hit close by. I tried everything back then and finally gave up and move the security cameras to Hikvision NVR. While adding ram to this I looked at adding a 8gb stick to the 470 and reloaded OS I was shocked when the boot config displayed on a tv I connected on a whim ...5 years later I have HDMI output again.

[64 GB] Note: This is the XT version! (more powerful CPU). I'm running RAID 0 (with external backup) and NVME SSD for cache acceleration.

Upgrading from a TS-470 pro, I didn't realize how much of a difference this would be. Even though I am not using the 10GBe (yet), the snappiness of this over the previous is noticeable. It feels more 'even' and fluid in any transaction from logging on to File Station functions to other Ntwk functions. I haven't used any additional apps as of yet, so I can't attest to the versatility, but for now, I am very happy with the this NAS!
Quiet and powerful.

[17.75 lb] This was my first NAS setup for video editing, and it's been fantastic. A bit involved to set up, but the capabilities it has are incredible once you watch a few tutorials. I'm connected to mine through a 10g ethernet connection, using an ethernet to thunderbolt adapter to go into my MacBook Pro. It's nearly as fast as the thunderbolt RAID I have on my desk, but much larger and more powerful.

[Intel Core i3] I upgraded from a 872XT and this system is amazing. I mostly use it for Plex and some drone video editing. I'm easily able to stream 8k transcoding multiple streams with no issues. My only complaint is it doesn't come with a 10gb Ethernet card just two 2.5gb ones. The old one came with a 10gb interface so this one part seems like a step backwards. Otherwise I'd recommend this unit with no qualms.

[17.75 lb] This is my second qnap unit and it is great. Super simple to setup. So far the i7 has taken everything I've thrown at it and hasn't even broken a sweat.
