Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Why is the description a D&K 210 press buy pictured is a seal masterpiece 210? Those are two different company's.

A: D&K bought out Seal Co. and kept some of the same model names for the products now produced by D&K, including the 210M Commercial Dry Mounting Press.

Q: 2. can one person move this item

A: The unit weighs close to 75lbs. I would recommend that two people be present to move it. A single strong person could perhaps lift it momentarily if they have the upper body strength, but in general I would not advise to lift that weight alone.

Q: 3. Does run/stop button on the pistol grip actually trigger the video recording function of a5100? or is it only works for still shooting?

A: Hi Jihoon - yes, the grip triggers video start/stop. thanks for asking!

Q: 4. Wondering if unit can be used to heat press lining to fabric?

A: I am not exactly sure of what mean by this application. If the temperature range is ok for the adhesive I don't see why not. The ends are open such that wider material can protrude from the sides.

Q: 5. Use it in Nikon 70200 FL, is it okay?

A: Yes, you can carry the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens in this case.

Q: 6. Can this mount a 17x22 print?

A: You can mount a 17x22" print using the D&K 210M Commercial Dry Mounting Press - 18.5 x 23"--the actual size of the plate is 18.5x23".

Q: 7. Does the retroFlex-S cage fit the a6500?

A: Hi Claudiothanks for asking. It will work without being centered, but if you are set on that, you'll need to pick up some third party gear to make that work. An arca-swiss style plate with a screw slot should work just fine for that. I hope that helps

Q: 8. Is anybody using these cubes in non-Wandrd bags?

A: The WANDRD Essential+ Camera Cube can fit into any bag or case that is 12x11x5 inches or larger inside.

Q: 9. Can this press be used to mount digital prints and what kind of sealant paper is used to mount them?

A: This press can be used to dry mount digital prints with the help of the D&K Fusion 4000 Dry Mounting Tissue - 24 x 30 yd. B&H # DKFS40002430 .

Q: 10. What is the largest print you can dry mount? How do you dry mount prints that are larger than 18 x 23?

A: I do a lot of 16x20 prints, but to do larger than that , say a 20x30, you just pass the print through the press and do it in sections. Just make sure you don't over lap the mounting tissue if it's not large enough to cover your entire size, or you will see a line in your final print.

[474] Just started reading but just glancing through it I can see it covers just about everything. It covers the sky as well as photographing it. A really good technical manual. Good purchase.

[Cheryl Briggs] No matter your skill or experience level, John's book is a great read and guide. His writing style explains techniques in ways pretty much anyone will grasp. For the Professionals out there it has little memories that might jog you.
Enjoy and thank-you John and Ken.

[Cheryl Briggs] I read an earlier edition years ago and finally decided to buy this one. Rather technical but this is what I like. The discussion of the history of lens designs and the schematics showing the lens designs is worth the cost of the book in itself. Everything from camera movements to loading film into film holders is covered. You cannot go wrong buying this book.

[474] You are not a professional unless you have this book on your shelf, hopefully you've read it. Knowing the extent and the limitations of the law is imperative now more than ever. Not just for your income but your physical well being at times. The public, police and many photographers have hazy opinions as to what you are doing. Get educated.
