In a highly compact design from Watson Pro L-Train 6-Bay NP-F Battery Chargeroffers six L-series battery bays, a charge current selector for each bay, and two 12V/3A DC ports that work as both inputs and outputs. The L-Train is a simultaneous charger designed for environments where fully charged batteries are in constant high demand, settings such as photo/video studios and rental houses.

In addition to running on AC power from a wall outlet, the charger can be powered via the 12V DC ports using a DC power source, such as a V-mount or Gold mount battery, or a car lighter, using separately available adapter cables. As outputs, the DC ports let you charge or power various devices such as cameras, flashes, and lights (when there are no L-series batteries being charged).

Next to each battery bay is a current selector switch that lets you toggle between 1.2A standard charging and 2A fast charging. The L-Train charges up to six L-series batteries simultaneously while the charge current is selectable individually for each battery. At 2A, a battery is charged in about half the time as at 1.2A.

The DC ports can function as either power inputs or outputs. As inputs, if you are away from mains power, you can connect a DC power source, such as a 12V vehicle connection using a separately available adapter cable, to charge the batteries. When the DC ports are used as outputs, the charger will convert incoming AC power to 12V DC, which will be output via both barrel jacks when no batteries are connected.

An array of LED indicators next to each battery bay provide an approximate percentage of how much each battery has been charged. A separate LED indicator next to each bay stays lit when you have 2A rapid charging selected for that bay. This way, you can tell with just a quick glance what current you're charging at.

The L-Train uses temperature-regulating circuitry and an integrated cooling fan to ensure uninterrupted operation without overheating. The charger maintains a constant cool temperature so that you can use all six bays without concern of overheating.

The charger has a compact form and takes up minimal desk or counter space, and it won't weigh down or take up much room in a gear bag or grip case.

Compatible NP-F L-series batteries include the NP-F550, NP-F570, NP-F750, NP-F770, NP-F960, and NP-F970.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this work with the new NP-W126S batteries with the Fuji XT2?

A: Based on the battery description for the XT2 battery which indicates that the XT2 battery can be used in an XT1, I would say the charger will work with both batteries.

Q: 2. What is the total power draw in watts with all 6 bays charging at 2 amps?

A: The total power draw of the Watson Pro L-Train 6-Bay NP-F Battery Charger would be about 60W with all batteries charging at full speed.

Q: 3. Can I charge this using powerbank?

A: This IS a battery charger. It is not a battery.

Q: 4. What are the downsides to using the quick charge feature as opposed to the slow charge feature?

A: Batteries have a life cycle and you could be cutting into that life cycle. Just note life cycles run in the hundreds, maybe thousands.

Q: 5. Are there adapter for this charger to charge LP-E6 batteries?

A: No, the Watson Pro L-Train 6-Bay NP-F Battery Charger has fixed charging plates, unlike the single-battery adaptable plate chargers from Watson, and cannot be changed to charge the Canon LP-E6.

Q: 6. What color should the light be when charging/ fully charged?

A: It should be red while charging and green when is fully charged

Q: 7. Can I use this charger for RX100 batteries & A6000 batteries? Looks like a simple matter of switching charger plates.

A: I have used it only for BX1 - sorry I cannot be of help.

Q: 8. Is this charger compatible with the Sony NP-BN N-series battery? If not, is there a compatible charger? The camera is a DSC-W830

A: Yes, the Watson Compact AC/DC Charger for NP-BN1 Battery is capable of charging the battery used in the Sony DSC-W830 digital camera.

Q: 9. I have 1800mAhr batteries. Will this adapter support these batteries? Also, Where can I find optional battery adapter plates? What other type of batteries can it charger. ex: is there a Samsung SLB-10A battery plate for this charger?

A: The charger can only charge NP-BX1 batteries. The batteries themselves can have different mA.

Q: 10. What’s the difference between 2A & 1.2A?

A: The Watson Pro L-Train 6-Bay NP-F Battery Charger has two different amp settings for charging, 2A and 1.2A. At 2A a battery is charged in about half the time as at 1.2A.

[Quick Charge] I've had a few of the 2-bay Watson chargers for years and finally decided to consolidate with this one. It charges the batteries fast, is solidly built, and makes charging numerous batteries easier - especially on travel jobs where power outlets may be limited (or just dealing with multiple chargers and cables is a mild hassle).

[LED] Use this to charge batteries for my Rode Video Mic Pro. Small, compact, and does as intended. No complaints here.

[LED] I've needed a charger like this for a few years now. I use multiple batteries for video monitors, audio devices and small accent lights so this is a prefect fit for my studio. Now that I have it in place, I have a little more space and my charging station is more organized. I love the option of slow or fast charging. This unit works great!

[6] I do a lot of back to back wedding filming and was looking for a more efficient way to charge my light and audio batteries. The first charging bay I received worked well for the first 2 weeks, then one of the charging bays failed, leaving me with only 5 working. I was able to get a replacement from B&H at no charge and so far the new one is working properly. I haven't yet used the fast charging, slightly worried about reducing battery lifespan, but even the 1.2A charges fast enough that it hasn't been an issue for me yet. Something to note, if you're using a lot of bays at once, it does make an audible noise as the fan kicks on.

[LED] So far I've used this unit to charge NP-F batteries twice and it's working. I like the ability to check the LED indicator lights which show full charge. Compact enough to bring on location and very convenient to charge batteries with its six bay design.

[Simultaneous] Solid battery charger with an internal power converter, so no power brick, yet it's not too large or heavy for travel compared to what it can do. It's great being able to charge six batteries at a time. I like having the ability to slow or fast charge each bank, plus the option to use AC or DC power sources. It has a well thought out design.

I agree that the blinking lights can be a bit much, and perfection would have been to have dip switches to change how the lights function, but it isn't a big deal for me as they can be dimmed with LED blocking tape or gaffers tape in the field if needed.

All in all, if you need to charge many NP-F batteries at one time this is a solid option.

[Quick Charge] It just works and the lights signify when the battery is charged. The prongs fold in for packing.
