The 67mm Kase KW Revolution Entry Kit 67mm Photography Filterfeatures ND8, ND64, and CPL magnetic filters as part of Kase's color-coded KW Revolution filter system. The filters are designed with color-coded filter frames for easy identification and swapping. The ND8 is color-coded blue, the ND64 is yellow, and the CPL is silver. The kit also includes adapter rings, a filter case, and a front lens cap. The KW Revolution system is based on Kase's earlier Wolverine series and is fully backwards-compatible with Wolverine filters.

KW Revolution filters are made with shock resistant and water resistant optical glass that's durable, easy to clean, and doesn't cause any color cast. In addition to being magnetic, the filters are also front threaded. This is one of the differences between the KW Revolution series and the earlier Wolverine series.

This kit includes both the standard magnetic adapter and the inlaid magnetic adapter supported by the KW Revolution series. The standard adapter screws onto your lens and lets you magnetically attach the filter to it. The inlaid adapter works a bit differently, as it secures to your lens in a very recessed way. It screws onto the front filter threads very close to the front lens element and remains nearly hidden within the filter thread area. It hardly leaves any space between the lens and filter. This results in minimized vignetting with wide-angle lenses when you attach the filter. The filter snaps onto the adapter magnetically. Up to four filters can be stacked in total, both from this KW Revolution series and from the earlier Wolverine series, and the filters can be freely rotated. Please see more about the inlaid adapter below.

When your KW Revolution filter (or backwards-compatible Wolverine filter) is removed from the inlaid adapter, you can leave the adapter on the lens. It will not interfere with attaching the original lens cap to the front of your lens. Similarly, it won't interfere with screwing in regular screw-in filters to the filter threads of the lens.

Besides securing directly to the lens, the inlaid adapter can instead be screwed onto the front threads of regular screw-in filters. The screw-in filter can then be screwed onto your lens, and the inlaid adapter will be on the front of that filter. You can then magnetically attach KW Revolution and Wolverine filters onto the adapter. The benefit of this flexibility is that it allows you to mount the KW Revolution filters on top of regular screw-in filters that you may want at the bottom of your stack.

The inlaid adapter is not compatible with step rings.

There are a few ways to screw in the ultra-slim inlaid adapter. The main way is to first attach it magnetically to one of the included ND filters, and to then screw in both by hand. Then you can remove the filter or stack additional ones onto it. You can also attach the optional Kase magnetic lens hood.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Doe this set come with a case?

A: The Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit (82mm) comes with a filter case.

Q: 2. Can you still use lens hoods when using Kase Revolution Magnetic filters?

A: The filters in the Kase KW Revolution Mega Set (82mm) are front threaded, so it would be possible to attach a lens hood.

Q: 3. Will I get vignetting if I stack multiple filters? Should I get a size larger than my lens to avoid that?

A: It depends how wide the lens is. If you are using very wide lens such as 16mm on a full frame camera the more filters you stack from the Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit (82mm) the more likely you are too get vignetting. That Kase filter kit does have an inlaid adapter ring, that helps to reduce vignetting if the lens is not super wide, for example 28mm on full frame. But even in 28mm if you stack too many filters you may get vignetting. If you are planning on stacking multiple filters on a wide lens it is better to get a filter holder as that allows you to use 100mm wide filters, and that will reduce the chance of vignetting like this Nisi V7. https://bhpho.to/36m5ssY

Q: 4. How many filters does the case that comes worth the master kit hold? Is it the same as the Kase canvass accordion style filter case that Kase sells separately?

A: The included case can hold up to 10 filters.

Q: 5. Will the Kase Revolution 82mm filters cause any vignetting on the Sony 20mm 1.8 or the Sony 24mm 1.4?

A: The Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit does not cause any visible vignetting on the Sony 20mm 1.8 or the Sony 24mm 1.4.

Q: 6. Does this filter work with Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S lens?

A: Yes, the Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit (112mm) will work on the Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens.

Q: 7. Will the Kase Revolution 82mm filters cause any vignetting on the Nikon Z 14-30 1.8 S lens?

A: The Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 S Lens (B&H # NIZ14304) has a 82mm filter size and should work with the Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit (82mm), B&H # KA82KWRPNDK, without any vignette.

Q: 8. Are these lens caps fir all size lenses with the adapter ring attached, or are there specific ones for 77mm, 82mm? Is the set of three all the same size?

A: Kase Lens Cap Kit for K9 (Set of 3) will attach on top of Kase 90mm Magnetic Circular Polarizer Filter. They are all the same size.

Q: 9. I can’t find extra standard adapters for the revolution 77mm kit, or do you buy the wolverine adapter for your extra lenses?

A: To use the Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit (77mm) on additional lenses with 77mm threads, get the Kase Wolverine Magnetic Filter Adapter Ring (77mm), BH #KAMAR77MM.

Q: 10. Can I use a regular step-up ring to attach this to a 77mm lens?

A: Yes, you can use a standard step up ring from 77 to 82, then attach the adapter ring that comes with the Kase KW Revolution Professional ND Kit (82mm) and then you will be able to attach the magnetic filters.

[1.085 lb] Works great as advertised

[1.085 lb] Most of my lenses are 67mm so it is essential to have an adapter on each of the lenses so I can switch lenses and not have to unscrew the magnetic adapter and put it onto a new lens but can just pop on one of the magnetic filters. I also got the lens caps for each of the lenses. Kase's magnetic properties on these accessories is pretty darn strong. I don't have to hear about having the filter fall off because the magnets not hard enough.

[1.085 lb] If you’re going to switch to magnetic filters, it’s worth having an adapter on every lens so you can swap filters quickly with your whole kit. This version is the most slim combo as it screws down inside the lens threads instead of sitting on top like an extra filter. I’ve threaded mine into existing screw in UV filters I keep on at all times for protection. Works great.

[1.085 lb] Of the many manufacturers of magnetic filters, only Kase (as far as I know) offers the inlaid rings, which nest inside the lens' filter threads, reducing the risk of vignetting when you stack filters. The only disadvantage is you need to use the provided tool to hold the ring for installation and removal.

I bought this kit for 67mm, 72mm, and 77mm for a second benefit, to make it even easier to use my 82mm mag. filters with my smaller-diameter lenses. Installing the inlaid adapter lets me use the regular lens cap and hood until I need one of the filters. When I do, I can quickly attach the magnetic adapter (*different* from the regular screw-in adapters) to the inlaid adapter, then add filters.

However, the lens caps for my Sony lenses no longer have enough filter thread to grasp. I bought separate magnetic caps for them (but see my review of those...). For my Sigma lenses, the regular lens caps still work fine.

[1.085 lb] It works perfectly with the Revolution filter system. It's easy to install, fits closer to the lens, and helps prevent vignetting on ultra-wide angle lenses.

[1.085 lb] I tried one other magnetic filter brand, but it paled in comparison to this set. I did a lot of research before ordering these, and even though I saw a few complaints, they just didn't make sense to me. I'm very happy with these, and the magnets are plenty strong enough, and yet pop on and off with ease. It was worth getting the largest set since it includes all I needed. The workmanship is excellent, and the glass doesn't have any colorcast whatsoever.

[1.085 lb] I finally bit the bullet and purchased a set of filters for my largest diameter lens (112mm for the Nikon Z 14-24 f2.8). This kit works perfectly with the lens. It has an inset magnetic ring that screws into the hood of the Nikon Z 14-24. That hood also fits on the Nikon Z 70-200 f2.8. I bought the 77-112mm Kase magnetic step-up ring in order to use this set of filters with my other lenses.

I like the ease of adding and removing the filters afforded by the magnetic system. I've had zero problems with filters accidentally coming off.

I also like the image quality I get with this set of filters.

[1.085 lb] Super fast to set up - magnet is very powerful and holds stacked filters tight. Easy to switchout filters and stack on the fly

Caution with the adapter rings - they are SUPER powerful and if the accidentally stick together, you need to carefully pry apart with a small flathead screwdriver!

[1.085 lb] I own the Kase Revolution Pro ND filter kit and this UV filter is made to work with the kit. Like all the Kase products I own, this is well made and easy to attach to the lens. I will be buying more of these for the rest of my lens.
