When I discovered my first TC-80N3 was broken, it was just before a major photo vacation, and I didn't want to risk difficulties related to unfamiliarity of operating something new to me in the field (I did a lot of night shots, didn't want to be reading a user manual in the dark), so I stayed with the Canon offering.
