A: It does not.

A: The 4K HDMI unit is just an HDMI Encoder or Decoder. You will need a 4K SDI unit to encode SDI into NDI. Depending on how you want the signal to come out, you will need either an SDI or HDMI unit.

Q: 3. Will BirdDog 4K 12G-SDI NDI Encoder/Decoder Silicon 2 update add NDi-HX encoding decoding?

A: Yes, the 4K encoder/decoder line will all get the options of full NDI, NDI HX, SRT, and RTMP for the Ethernet jack.

Q: 4. how much latency from UHD 4K 60fps HDMI input to NDI stream?

A: unfortunately the manufacturer does not provide specific latency numbers for this device

Q: 5. Does this equipment work or not? Also, based on BD Website, the BNCs can be independently assigned as an encoder or decoder; is this not true?

A: The 4K Quads will be able to do that, once the final firmware is released. It is not in that current state, but eventually that feature is planned to be on the QUAD. Right now, you can ENCODE all or DECODE all.

Q: 6. The 12G-SDI non-QUAD unit has a separate input and output connector. Can it encode one NDI stream to the network while decoding a different NDI stream from the network at the same time?

A: The outputs would be looped-out signals from the input, which supports only one NDI stream. A different NDI stream from the input is not possible.

Q: 7. Is the 4k quad i/o compatible with the tricaster mini 4k?

A: Yes the BirdDog 4K Quad NDI Encoder/Decoder is compatible with the NewTek TriCaster TC Mini 4K|NDI.

Q: 8. Can this product handle four simultaneous UHD 4K inputs converted to NDI? can it handle the reverse?

A: Yes, this has Four 12G-SDI connections that are selectable between and input or output. This is both an Encoder/Decoder.

Q: 9. Will this unit decode four P400 cameras from NDI and Output them each on their own SDI out?

A: This is one box. It is an encoder/decoder so it does both send and receive.

[1 Month] It's unfortunate that Adobe requires a subscription instead of just owning the software outright like it used to be, and that the subscription rate keeps climbing. Seeing BH offer this license as a Black Friday deal for literally half the price of buying direct from Adobe, it's a no-brainer! I activated the code emailed to me, and within a couple minutes my Adobe subscription had another year tacked onto it, simple as that. I'm absolutely going to renew my license through BH every year if this kind of deal is available. There's zero reason to be paying full price directly for the exact same subscription. 5

[1 Month] Bought this to provide better video stream than my JVC GY LS300's RTSP feed (it has a big delay and sketchy feed). This is magnificent uncompressed quality. Already have a NewTek connect Spark, but this makes production a breeze. Been using it with a Church client's live stream and convinced them to go with Bird Dog products. They're not gonna regret it. 5

[1 Month] Installed a pair of these to transmit to a projector up on the ceiling. POE made it all quick and painless. The unit at the projector is set to recieve from the other unit which can be plugged onto the network from any location around the stage, booth, or the rest of the facility for that matter. Easy for presenters to just plug on and present without fighting the technology. 5

[1 Month] I normally use Lightroom and Photoshop. This will give me a try at other programs AND SEE IF i HAVE ANY NEED FOR FUTURE USE. THIA IS A BIT EXPENSIVE IF ONE DOESN'T NEED ALL OF THEM. I'D PROBABLY JUST GO BACK TO MY ORIGINAl needs later. 5

[1 Month] As a freelancer that needs to keep costs down, any saving on the now mandatory subscription based adobe suite is a great thing. Even better you can add several to you account and it just pushes your next payment date out. The killer is the amount you save over a standard adobe agreement. Pure win. Not much more to say - i was hesitant, and did my research to avoid shenanigans with my account. But it worked out great, next year ill probably budget for two. cheers, happy purchasing. 5
