Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. When do you have a PCH-8?

A: There is not currently an available case like the Zoom PCH-6 Protective Case for Zoom H6 Handy Recorder that is designed to accommodate the size and form factor of the Zoom H8 Portable Handy Recorder. As an alternative, an option such as the PortaBrace AR-SF1 Portable Audio Recorder Case (BH #POARSF1) may prove suitable for this application: https://bhpho.to/3nmcwer

Q: 2. What methods do you use to attach it to you in the field? I could see it attaching to a belt loop with a carabiner, or a longer strap to go over the shoulder?

A: There is a belt loop in the back of the case. Just threads through your belt with mic's facing up. The ring at the bottom is key ring mount.

Q: 3. Does the case hold the H4N model? Can you record with the recorder in the case partially concealed?

A: Although designed to hold the Zoom H5 recorder, the Zoom PCH-5 Protective Case for Zoom H5 Handy Recorder will likely accommodate the Zoom H4n Pro as well. Both recorders are of similar dimensions and form factor.

Q: 4. I never use any of the Mic Heads. Can the cover to this case fit down tight to the H6 without leaving a large airgap where the Mic Head would normally be?

A: The hood can be brought down lower onto the rest of the case, but it would block the top XLR inputs on the left and right of the Zoom H6.

Q: 5. Is a shoulder strap included? If not, any suggestions on which strap to get (preferably thru B&H)?

A: I recomend considering something like BH #OPSUSB

Q: 6. Does the case accommodate the use of a dead cat on the microphone module?

A: Not 100%. I have the rycote and it works w/ the x/y but the unit does not allow the msh-6 module enough room to grip. Another diy job or rubber band solution here.

Q: 7. How does this close if you have XLR cables attached to the Zoom? And if it does close how securely?

A: The sides of the PCH-6 can be opened for use - allowing access to the XLR/TRS inputs - and closed when not in use. Please see the fourth photo of B&H's listing for reference.

Q: 8. Will a Nikon 300mm f2.8 for in this?

A: Yes, the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/2.8G ED VR II Lens would be compatible for use with the Beta Shell Series 6 Protective Lens Case (12.8").

Q: 9. Would this also fit an H5? I see that there is an H5 case but it looks nearly identical, and I already have this and the portabrace case for H6 (I prefer the slimness of this case) so I’d love to use this one with a new H5, if I can

A: This case would not work well with the H5.

Q: 10. Will it fit FUJIFILM GF 500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens?

A: Yes, the FUJIFILM FUJINON GF 500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens will fit into the Beta Shell Series 6 Protective Lens Case (10.8").

[Black] I was a bit worried as I saw one review showing a warped seal but my case has a perfect fit and the quality is great. I like the double handles and the retractable handle is well design. It also fits my Lowel uni stands perfectly.

[Yes] It’s so well built it is even nice to look at it. I use it for my pedalboard and I’m very happy with the purchase. Shout out to the agent in the return department that made a smooth transition and honored the price after the exchange.

[Universal] The Seahorse case is the ultimate firearms 'range bag,' to tote all of the necessary essentials to the firearms range (access cards, handguns, ammo, ear & eye protectors, tool pack, cleaning gear, etc.). Dividers adjust to fit the various items and keep everything well protected during transport. The wheeled case saves time & effort getting from the parking areas to the indoor & outdoor ranges. Dual lock lugs handle up to a 5/16" adjustable locking cable lock (Master Python) to secure the case & contents to a fixed table, etc. while checking targets down range, as well as, to a vehicle seat post if away from the car. Very functional heavy duty case.

[IP67] I was apprehensive about buying a Seahorse case as I saw a few negative reviews, one showing an il-fitting lid. I'm happy to report my case is very well made and I think the design is the best of those out there. I like the sturdy double side handles, and I think the retractable handle is the best design of the several rigid cases on the market. The case is just the right length to accomodate the Lowell Uni stands

[Yes] I shoot sports and after buying a second body, I found the bag I'd been using was too small to hold all of my gear and lenses. I was apprehensive about buying a case based on the dimensions alone without seeing gear in one. I took a chance on the Seahorse and don't regret my purchase.

I can fit 2 bodies, a 70-200, a 300 2.8, 24-70, extra batteries and some smaller/flat items (50mm lens and a double harness). The weight of the loaded case is a bit heavy but the well placed handles help loading the case in my truck and the wheels are great to move it around outside.
