The beige Series8 Cardioid Headset Microphone from Point Source Audio is designed for applications where more than one microphone is required, such as for live performances and recordings. The cardioid pattern of the microphone will pick up sound from one direction, so it can be focused on the sounds of the person wearing the microphone. The unit features a 4mm diameter microphone element that can be positioned at the corner of the mouth to maintain an unobtrusive appearance.

The microphone features a length-adjustable unbreakable boom that can bend up to 360° and includes flexible ear hooks for wearing the headset on the left or right ear. It offers optimal gain amplification before feedback and can handle sounds with a maximum SPL of 135 dB. The microphone can connect to a wide range of wireless microphone transmitters using its interchangeable X-Connector system. This particular unit comes with an interchangeable 3.5mm locking connector for Sennheiser EW series transmitters. The microphone also comes with a foam windscreen, a body clip, and a storage box.

A: We actually bought these microphones for a children's play to avoid entrusting 6 year olds to $400 countrymans. They are flexible, but there's no actual adjustment. We didn't have any fit issues with our kids though, and they worked perfectly for our application.

Q: 8. Does anyone have a photo of that install tool they offer?

A: CIEMs have the MMCX connector, you can simply snap them on. If they use a different type of connector then you'll want to remove and replace the whole cable assembly.

Q: 9. I want to use my Sennheiser mics on my zoom N1. Because of the threaded collar, it doesn't fit perfectly into my Zoom N1. Does this cable convert the Sennheiser connector to a regular 3.5mm plug?

[Beige] Point source is killing it. I won’t buy (and subsequently tape up) another dpa headset. These offer great gain before feedback, they stay snuggly in place, and they require less eq’ing to sound natural. 5

[4' / 1.2 m] We have tried several different headsets like Countryman and THOR. This one beats them all! My pastor has some “wonky” frequencies in his voice that generate feedback in the mids. This one solved most of those issues without sacrificing the quality. The construction is beefy. No more bending the delicate wire to mold it to his face. Right out of the box, this fit like a glove and sounds amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. 5

[Beige] This X-Connector does what it's supposed to do. Thanks Point Source Audio for this connector, we went from Shure body packs to Sennheiser body packs. This is also good for taking your microphone to other venues and plug into other systems with the different X-Connectors for different brand wireless systems. I do wish there wasn't a chance to over tighten but Point Source Audio does warn on the connector to not over tighten. 5

[Cardioid] Great headset mic. Sounds amazing! Very easy to adjust to each presenter. Get tons of compliments from presenters on how they normally don't like headsets but this one was nice. Definitely my go to headset from now on! 5

[1 to 10 V] First thing Id like to mention, Ive used this headset for handheld camera operation on tv crews during some conventions and I dont own this headset(in the process of buying 1 for myself). And honestly I have no issues with it, its comfortable, its flexible, very reliable, and definitely wonderful when on camera. Now I do agree with the other review in that its practically not possible to hear anyone talking to you while wearing the headset with both ear buds in. But that tells me it does its job very well. I will say that when my grip is trying to talk to me when Im wearing this wonderful headset all I have to do is pop out 1 of the earbuds and problem of not hearing solved very quickly and its easy to put the in ears back in once out and they hold very well. Now with all that being said, I will say that for me personally this headset works very well, but each person that is using this type of gear has to find what works best for them individually. For those like myself that this headset works great, its a worthy product. for those that its not great for them, another product will be better. Hope this helps future buyers! 5

[0.35 lb] This intercom headset is fantastic for long shows (ie. concerts, presentations, etc.). I work as a freelance camera operator, and when running handheld it's very useful to be able to hear intercom in both ears. With the standard headset, you would have to wear an earplug and single muff headset. 5

[Cardioid] I use it for calling spot lights in a live concert setting. Aside from not having to use the house head set. This headset is clear, comfortable and durable. Only downside being that is kind of expensive, but in this case you totally get what you've paid for. But gooD luck finding an rts adapter. 5
