Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does B&H develop 16mm movie film?

A: No, they don't. They just sell film and chemicals in case that you want to develop your own film. Not an easy thing to do with motion picture. There are some labs that can process or develop film for you in the US. Video & FIlm Solutions is the one that I use, Cinelab, Spectra, Yale Film and Video and Fotokem are just a few. Most of them offer scanning as well. So you can have a digital file of your film and continue your post processing in the digital arena. Editing, color correction or grading and export it to the desired format. Good luck with your project. Film is just beautiful and worth using it.

Q: 2. Is this single or double perf?

A: This is single perf.

Q: 3. I just bought a Krasnogorsk-3, will this film work for it or do I need double perforated?

A: That camera is listed as using both Single and Double sprocket film. So the Kodak Vision3 250D should be fine.

Q: 4. Does the customs or airport security checkpoint X-rays effect the films?

A: Films under ISO 800 are not affected by X-rays.

Q: 5. What develop process for this film? (link in previous question in broken)

A: Here is a step by step assistance to help you with you film cooking needs. / Load The Film. To start off you will need to put the processing tank, with the lid off and the reel removed, into your changing bag. ... / The C-41 Developing Kit. ... / Mix Up Your Chemistry. ... / Soak The Film. ... / Develop Colour Film. ... / Bleach and Fix. ... / Washing. ... / Stabilise And Hang Up to Dry.

Q: 6. Can this be used for super 16mm?

A: Yes, all Kodak 16mm stocks that are 'perforated one edge (winding B)' have sprocket holes on only one side, and so are made for the super 16 format. Also, on a Kodak film canister, look for part of the code number of the film that says '1R', meaning one row of perforations, or super 16. Only older stocks or special order stocks for standard 16mm are '2R', meaning two rows of perforations and you can only use 2R stocks in a standard 16mm camera. Good luck!

Q: 7. What is the length of one reel?

A: 2000 ft.

Q: 8. Help I'm a newbie. Does 250D mean that's the ASA or ISO? In the description it says 250 with Daylight and 64 with Tungsten??

A: Not exactly. Iso and Asa are equivalent- so 250 iso = 250 asa. Basically this is a slow speed film designed for daylight use and color balanced for daylight. It is not recomended for use with tungsten light- very bright light with blue daylight filters would be required.

Q: 9. What is the weight of the film package ?

A: The Kodak VISION Color Print Film 2383 (70mm, 2500' Roll) weighs approximately 27 lb.

Q: 10. I have an A70 back for Hasselblad. Can i use this film with that back? is this C41 or E6 process film?

A: Unfortunately, as of the date/time of this reply, I have not been able to receive confirmation if the Kodak 2383 VISION Color Print Film Roll (70mm, 2000') would be compatible for use with the Hasselblad A70 back. If I receive a reply from Hasselblad, I will update this reply.

[16 mm] What can I say? It’s a great Kodak film with good latitude and a decent asa. Only downside is film got so expensive but hey it’s the times. Would definitely recommend.
