Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Why is there only one 15mm rod, and only on the LEFT side?

A: It's the design for the plate for this specific Tilta shoulder mount system.

Q: 2. is this compatible with the sony a6700 ?

A: Yes, the Tilta Lightweight Shoulder Rig is compatible with the Sony a6700.

A: Yes, the Tilta Lightweight Shoulder Rig (Black) would work fine with a Sony PXW-Z90 camcorder.

Q: 4. Can you use the eye cup with this shoulder rig? Or do you have to use the monitor? I have a Panisonic CX 350

A: It would probably be best to work with an added monitor when using the Tilta Lightweight Shoulder Rig (Black) with the Panasonic CX-350 because of the positioning of the viewfinder on the rear of the camera.

Q: 5. Is this shoulder rig compatible for BMCC 6K?

Q: 8. I'm wondering if this support vest can be used with the Nodal Ninja 9.6' Travel pole and mount the pole so it's 100% vertical?

A: The Nodal Ninja Collapsible Carbon Fiber Travel Pole (9.6') is 38.1mm in diameter, and the Tilta Lightweight Gimbal Support Vest supports poles that are 1.35-1.46” in diameter. 38.1mm is 1.5 inches, so it would not work.

Q: 9. Does the receiver plate accept the Tilta cage LWS baseplates?

A: You can attach the mounting plate from the Tilta Lightweight Shoulder Rig to the bottom of a Tilta LWS baseplate.

Q: 10. Will this bag accommodate a Roland r-88 field recorder?

A: Unfortunately not, the bag is too narrow, we do not currently have a bag that fits the R-88 recorder.

[Gray] My brother-in-law is wowed by his new Heat
Company Durable Liner PRO Gloves that he received as a Christmas Gift. Since snow has fallen where he lives, he has been quite pleased with the comfort and dexterity that these gloves provide, when he operates his camera while birdwatching. As he is sometimes hard to buy for, the gloves just fit the bill!

[Polar Fleece] This was just what I needed to help support my heavy Ronin setup when I was in filming situations where I didn't want to use a large support vest system which can be bulky and attract a lot of attention. With this setup I would use the ronin normally and then if I had to film an extended static shot or if I had a pause between filming I would could set the ronin tripod handle in the belt and give my arms and back some relief. It's not meant to replace a flycam vest and be used to add stability to shots, its just more of a backsaver for static shots or between shots.

[Polar Fleece] These gloves are perfect in winter conditions. I have used them at -15 Celsius and along with the heat pack, it makes taking photos in cold temperature a true pleasure! The fit is also true to size. Recommend!

[Gray] After almost getting frostbite on my hands on a recent photography trip to Vermont, I purchased these liners. The Heat Company makes another liner, but that one doesn't have as much leather as this one. It's worth the extra few dollars to get the Durable version. They fit as expected, and the sizing chart seems to be accurate. The liners do provide some protection against cold, but are meant to be just liners, for example with the Heat Company Shell Full-Leather Mitten that I also purchased in the same size. I wore the liners without the mittens last time I was out. The temp was about 30F degrees, and my hands were fairly cold after 20 minutes. The buttons on the camera work well with the liners, but not so much so using the touch screen LCD. For temps lower than 30, I will always be using them in conjunction with the mitten. The mittens have a zipper that allows you to remove fingers and/or thumb, and flip them to the back of the mitten where they can be attached magnetically so they don't flap around. I also like that there is a zipper on the back of the mitten designed to hold a hand warmer. Workmanship and quality of the liners and mittens is excellent, and I would recommend these two products.

[Gray] Great mattebox. It is a bit limited since it isn't compatible with side flags (ears) but most of the time all I need is the eyebrow anyways. Other than that this guys is awesome. Some might shy away because it only holds 4x4 filters, but you really don't need anything bigger than that unless you rock anamorphics. And if you can afford anamorphics then you can afford to rent out top level matteboxes. I love this mattebox, no complaints! Honestly I've become a big fan of Tilta over the years. For a Chinese company, they don't live up to the cheap Chinese stigma. Their products are at a very competitive price and they've always been well made and good investments.

[Unisex L] A tad expensive, but when you're shooting in the field you don't want cold hands as the lowest common denominator. And if you can go for a long winter photo outing in single digit temps and have no issues with cold hands, they're worth it. I live in the northeast; do a lot of camera pack hiking. That's 2-3 bodies with lenses so I don't have to change lenses in the field. If you stretch sunrise into a planned hike, you're going to be outdoors for a while. In the winter here, single digit temps are common. You know how it is, setting up early for sunrise; if your hands get cold, and you can't go back to your car to warm up. These gloves are great, even without hand warmers. Now I won't be shoveling snow in them, but these work for me, and I don't have to carry my usual thin gloves for shooting, then switch to warm mitts to bang my hands together until they warm up again. They are tactile enough for most settings on my Canon 5Dsr, 5D4 and 5D3 with separate lenses.

Fine product; seem built well enough to last many seasons. (Hey, handy clips so I might not lose one.)

[1.19 lb] Sturdy, secure and actually pretty comfortable. Had it on my shoulder for almost 9 hour sstraight during a music video shoot and not once did I get uncomfortable. Good weight distribution too.

[Unisex L] I have been looking for a glove liner that can keep my hands warm as well as being sensitive enough to feel the dials and buttons on my camera.
This fits the bill perfectly.

[Polar Fleece] Bought the matte box three years ago and it still excels everyday I use it. Compact enough to fit in a backpack, lightweight and really solid build, and the price is perfect.
