Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this monitor work well for photo editing?

A: The LG UlltraGear 31.5" 4K HDR 144 Hz Gaming Monitor is rated for 90% DCI-P3 color, but is not rated for the Adobe RGB gamut. When calibrated properly, it can work great for graphic design or for photos that are edited for web, but I wouldn't recommend using it for photos that are edited for print.

A: With 95% DCI-P3 and 95% CIE1976 color accuracy, the LG 49GR85DC-B Ultrawide Gaming Monitor could be used for video editing, although it is not the most color accurate option for this purpose.

[26.7 lb] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After upgrading my video card (now that prices have come back down to normal!) I quickly realized that my monitor wasn't really able to do anything better than before. Enter LG's new 32 inch masterpiece, the UltraGear Gaming monitor.
The UltraGear supports 144Hz refresh rate, even at a massive frameless full screen (3840 x 2160) 4k resolution. It turns gaming from an eye-straining exercise into an incredible experience. The resolution is alway clean and super bright with no tearing, even in quick action games
Upon opening the box, I was slightly worried that the 32 inch monitor would be too big, but after using it, I cannot imagine going back again to something smaller.
Set-up was plug and play (literally!) as my PC instantly recognized it and set it up and a quick settings check confirmed it.
This is a great monitor for gaming...and even a little homework.

[31.5"] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Model 32GQ750
The monitor was incredibly easy to set up and to coordinate the dual monitor set up as well, truly "plug & play". At set up it defaulted to 4k and getting started was seamless. The built in speakers provide great audio and the video quality is outstanding. Even playing graphic intensive games the wide screen, rich audio, and 4k quality makes you feel like you are in the game - like you could reach out and touch it!
I definitely recommend this monitor!

[31.5"] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded my computer and decide I needed a 4K monitor to match. Goodbye red gamer accents, hello sleek and stealthy. The new monitor design is very angular and cool, bonus is the RGB lighting effect on the rear. The included stand is very good however I paired mine with the ERGO arm for seamless integration. The picture quality is amazing, text is very crisp and fast 144Hz. Overall LG knocked it out of the park with the features and price. This is a monitor I see myself using for many years.

[Yes, 2x 5 W] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once I set up my monitor and got it going the image fidelity for the size took me away. My previous LG monitor was a 165HZ compared to this one which is 144hz. I'll tell you right away, I didn't even notice the difference so the upgrade from 1080 to "4k" was definitely worth it. Although I wish it came with build in speakers the DTS headphone jack is great especially for late night usage. Also the backlight. It's amazing and awesome that I can even customize it. Speaking of customization, the settings on this let you basically set up the monitor however you please. All the way from color to response time. On top of it all you can easily mount and swivel your monitor as you see fit, although I wasn't able to yet. The port selections and updated connections is also great and a great plus is the power connector is more than long enough to reach a power source, very much appreciated. My live wallpapers look amazing on this, as do games and media and everything else. Great monitor that I wasn't expecting too much out of hut now will definitely recommend to others.

[3840 x 2160] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Real quick, if you have a Switch, a PS5, an Xbox Series X or a dope PC and are in the market for a monitor that's standard wide (16:9), this is the one you need to get.

When you unbox this sucker, first thing you'll want to do is download the HDR calibration tool from the windows store; this step helps you get the best possible colors, or it helps calibrate it to how you'd like it.

After calibration, you can set the different options on the monitor itself, setting colors, brightness and contrast. I've attached an example of what the before and after can look like.

This monitor comes with both GSync and Freesync and being a primarily AMD gamer, this works so well. Baldurs Gate 3, Fortnite, Call of Duty, even Humankind, all dope games that work super well on this monitor.

Compared to other monitors, it is plenty bright, the IPS panel can easily light up a room so I run it at about 20% brightness and in my dimly lit room, I get inky black levels and vivid contrast. It isn't as inky as an OLED but overall I am extremely happy with the performance.

If you're in the market for a monitor that works for all use - PS5, Xbox, Switch, PC, etc... this is the one you need.

If you have it as a backup monitor. You can rotate it on its stand and keep it vertical for a second monitor during moments where you might be streaming live.

[Yes, HDR10] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 32" LG UltraGear UHD Gaming Monitor is capable of delivering 144Hz at a resolution of 3840x2160. The monitor supports a generous assortment of connectivity with one DisplayPort, two HDMI, a convenient USB 3.0 Upstream connection to the PC and also 2 USB 3.0 (type USB-A) downstream connections, as well as a 4-pole (sound and mic) headphone jack. All of this is to say that for the typical gamer there, this monitor delivers a fantastic experience while also allowing for multiple gaming consoles/PC to be connected without having the need to connect and disconnect consoles as frequently.

Personally, I have an XBOX, Playstation, and gaming PC connected to the monitor and I can easily transition between each. HDR is easily recognized with all connected devices, and the monitor also delivers a beautiful and crisp picture. The colors are vibrant and not faded or an off-color, which means that whites are white and not a weird off-white.
There are also settings available that are built into the monitor to adjust the picture and also access extra features that can add extra to the gaming experience.

[3840 x 2160] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this about a week and a half ago to replace a Dell U3011 that had died. So far, it has been a great monitor. I do miss the Dell's 16:10 aspect ratio, but the increased resolution makes up for it. I use the attached system for PCB layout, software development and video production / editing.

[Yes, HDR10] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor delivers an impressive visual experience in a sleek package. The 32-inch display and 4K resolution provides amazing clarity and vibrant colors that make both work and entertainment a positive experience.

The monitor's design is modern and minimalistic providing an immersive viewing experience. I also love the stand that is sturdy and adjustable, allowing for tilt, swivel, and height customization. The built-in USB-C port is a standout feature, offering convenient connectivity for laptops and other devices, along with charging capabilities. The on-screen menu is intuitive, making it easy to adjust settings like brightness, contrast, and color preferences.

If there was a potential downside, of course I would mention the price point, which might be on the higher side for some users. Additionally, while the monitor's size is great for multi-tasking and gaming, it might require a larger desk space to accommodate comfortably.

This monitor will not disappoint with impressive features and a flexible design. Whether you're a gamer, content creator, or professional, this LG monitor is versatile and a worthwhile investment for an enhanced computing experience.

[31.5"] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always loved playing video games but after buying this monitor I LOVE IT. I wanted to buy a new and more modern monitor to play more comfortably and I couldn't have chosen a better one.
The size of the screen is perfect and it fits perfectly on my desk and the fact that it has an adjustable stand makes it easy and comfortable to use from any angle. The screen resolution and colors are amazing. Graphics look amazing with the144Hz refresh rate.
Now I use my monitor for pretty much everything! I enjoy playing games, working and movies much more.
It is a plus that has several different ports and connections.
I am truly amazed with the quality of this monitor from the design and display to its compatibility options and connections.
I will highly recommend it to my friends and family who enjoy gaming as much as I do.
