Q: 1. hi, I would have, politely two pieces of information, the first if I can use Remote Control and Flash Trigger of cactus or yongnuo instead Hahnel Captur Remote Control and Flash Trigger ?The second piece of information is whether the cable, Impact Shutter Release Cable for Nikon Cameras with 10-Pin Connector, is suitable for nikon d810 ?thank youAntonio

A: Question 1. Not sure what you are asking but you can use the Hahnel to trigger either your flash or your shutter. I use pocket wizards with it to remotely trigger my shutter.

Q: 2. Does it work with Pentax cameras?

A: it should but i don't have pentax camera

Q: 3. For sound triggering, can you adjust the sensitivity of this device? Also, can you set it to delay the shutter release after it detects the sound? If so, for how long and what increments? Thanks.

A: I have only used the Captur Pro once while target shooting so far but I intend to do so more often. I had some confusion about the sensitivity but that was more not reading the directions carefully first. The lower the number the less sensitive the unit will be and I needed to make sensitivity number very low to react only to the sound of discharge and not wind noise (it happened to be a very windy day and it took a while to get the right setting to compensate for wind moving over the unit). I don't remember exactly the delay setting I used but it was around one or two milliseconds. You will have to play with the timing. The movement of the slide mechanism is very fast but I was able to capture images of spent cartridges being discharged from the pistol. As a side note I also use the unit as a remote for my Canon 60D. The button between the Lock and the Start/Stop buttons is the remote trigger. Hold halfway and it focuses, press all the way down and activates the shutter. Also, as a bonus it works with my old Canon 20D. You have to order the cords separately but they are not very expensive. The other option is to order the remote controllers but I decided not to do that just yet. Hope this helps.

Q: 4. has anyone tried this for fireworks or lightning? Also, to use this wireless on a nikon dslr, what other product(s) do i need? Thanks

A: Only used the laser to capture hummingbirds. Having a second tripod or guerrilla pod helps when you setup laser or infrared beams

Q: 5. this unit has both a laser sensor and an IR sensor. A laser beam is very narrow. How about the IR beam? Same thing? In other words, do you have to block the beam directly to trigger the unit? I'm guessing the answer is yes. So, the only difference between the two is that this unit comes with it's own IR beam (contained in the smaller module) with a short range of 12 meters...versus a laser beam that could travel much further, but has to be supplied by the user.

A: Regarding the laser beam. Yes it's much narrower / longer range. Consider adding / chaining mirrors and or prisms to re-direct the beam around corners.

Q: 6. So I was thinking about purchasing this for photographing wildlife by setting up camera traps during the night. I was wondering about how wide the IR beam is and if the sensitivity can be adjusted. For example I'd like to set my camera to the side of a game trail and have the camera shutter release when an animal crosses in front of the IR beam. I was wondering if the sensitivity to be adjusted because I wouldn't want say a blowing foliage or a bug setting it off. Can this do what a motion detector could do?

A: the distance variesa however the sensitivity can be adjusted.

Q: 7. Till this device be RED approved and therefore send battery voltage information to the camera?

A: Yes, When using Gold Mount batteries, this module will fully communicate with your camera body, allowing you to see your remaining battery life as a percentage on the RED Komodo’s user interface.

Q: 8. Hi. I would like to use this module with my SEKONIC L-558 light meter to trigger a Phottix wireless trigger system. Do you think it will trigger my Phottix wireless trigger system? Or this module it will work only with Pocket Wizard triggering system?

A: No, that module is only for the Sekonic L-758, L-358 & C-500R Meters. And it is designed to work with RadioPopper Nano and jrX Receivers. It is not compatible with Pocketwizards or Phottix.Sekonic just came out with a meter that is compatible with the Phottix system, Sekonic LiteMaster Pro L-478DR-U-PX.

Q: 9. Can this or any other sensor be used to trigger video, not stills, on a Sony a7S or a7S2?

A: This is from the HAHNEL website:When it is used for camera remote control, the Captur mimics the action of the shutter button on the camera body. If it is possible to start/stop video recording using the shutter button on the camera body, then this can be done remotely also using the Captur. If video record start/stop is not possible using the shutter button, as is the case for most DSLRs, then it cannot be achieved by the Captur either.

Q: 10. I have a Canon EOS 6D. I want a wireless intervalometer to do time-lapse, but want the ability to expand into external triggers in the future. If I buy a Captur Pro, will a Receiver Module do this or do I need the Transmitter/Receiver set? Or if I buy a Captur Timer for Canon now, would the Receiver part of it work with the Pro if I bought a Pro in the future? I dont quite understand how the Pro interfaces with the camera. Thanks

A: The needs for you are the receiver the pro module and the cable set. http://www.hahnel.ie/irish-shop/captur_cable_pack_for_canon/http://www.hahnel.ie/irish-shop/captur_canon_receiver/http://www.hahnel.ie/irish-shop/captur_module_pro/if you purchase the captur for canon or the timer kit for canon all pieces are needed to expand using the pro module.

[Eurorack Module] Extremely well built and versatile, glides over door ways and maneuvers like it’s on air. I’m not exaggerating.

[Analog] I have been using this as a source for automated modulations and a sweeping sweet-spot finder in my patches, overall it frees up some sends for me and I find cool sounds faster

[10 HP] This thing is almost perfect, I have been using it for over 4 years and it has been amazing. My only critique is that the caster wheels are made of a relatively soft rubber and can be easily damaged - the rubber scrapes off, creating flat spots on them and then you have a clicking sound as you roll your stuff around.
Krane does sell replacement caster wheels on their site.
I have used some of the other carts in this category and the Krane is by fare the favorite.

[Black] For this money this is a very solid cart that holds a lot more video equipment that might imagine. And, it folds up into a very small position for packing. If you cant afford a loaded Magliner, this is a great alternative.

[10 V p-p ] Great keyboard, works as intended - and a good amount of options under the hood. Will your keyboard be a bit messier looking? Sure..but a really cool way to customize exactly what you want your perfect 4-voice poly/paraphonic instrument to do. And yes you can go beyond 4 voices using its midi outputs. All in all a pretty cool way to incorporate a case and keyboard in one.

[Analog] This is by far the best cart Ive owned. It rolls like a dream and it extremely maneuverable.

[10 HP] Really fun module. You can sample into it from outside your rack. Cool stuff

[10 V p-p ] I have used a Rock n Roller R12 Multicart with all terrain wheels for about 12 years and, while it certainly did the job, it was always a bit of a struggle to move it out of very small hotel elevators with 200lbs+ of equipment. The design of the Krane with the large center wheels allows you to easily spin it in place and the handles lock into place to provide a much firmer feel when pushing instead of the flexing of my previous cart. I also like the fact that it folds instead of sliding into place. Not quite as flexible as the Multicart in that respect but I will never again have a painful pinch on my finger from the sliding mechanism. I have not rolled it over grass or gravel yet but am sure it would be up to the job on reasonable surfaces. It is heavier & more expensive than the Multicart but, for me, it is perfect and I highly recommend it unless you will frequently be rolling over very rough surfaces.
