Pairing a 20.9MP 1" CMOS sensor and DIGIC X image processor, the PowerShot V10 delivers high-quality video and stills imagery in the palm of your hand. Record for up to an hour in a variety of lighting conditions, the camera offers a flexible ISO 125-3200 in 4K UHD, ISO 125-3200 in Full HD, and ISO 125-12800 for still photos. The camera's rolling shutter shoots video between 1/4000-1/25 second and stills between 1/2000-1/8 second. The DIGIC X image processing allows for expansive creative options, featuring 14 color filters and a Smooth Skin shooting mode.

With video recording features such as uncropped UHD 4K movie recording at up to 29.97 fps, Full HD high frame rate movie recording at up to 59.94 fps, and live streaming in Full-HD at 30 fps, making vlogging and video content creation simple and convenient. To shoot vertically, simply set the camera on its side, and it will adjust accordingly. The UVC capability allows the PowerShot V10 to be used as a web camera to stream live video in Full HD without additional computer software. Compatible services include YouTubeLive and FacebookLive along with other online web conferencing software.

The camera's 19mm wide-angle lens has a 97.5° angle of view during video shooting and a 100.2° angle of view for stills, broad enough to capture an entire scene or take self-facing video without stretching your arm out. Autofocus is accomplished with contrast detection across the entire frame, with the options for Face Tracking and area-specific autofocus in 31 individual zones when shooting stills. The lens opens to wide f/2.8 to further extend the camera's low-light capabilities.

A large 2" 460,000-dot touchscreen provides an intuitive interface for controlling focusing points, navigating menus, and reviewing imagery. This screen also features a 180°, upward-tilting design for rear- and front-facing viewing.

Wired and wireless connectivity options allow for multiple methods of transferring photos and videos, live streaming, as well as for remotely controlling the camera. Physically, the camera features a USB-C port, a micro-HDMI port, and a microphone port for video recording.
Built-in Bluetooth pairing lets you easily connect the camera to compatible smart devices using the free Canon Camera Connect app. This low-energy wireless connection helps preserve battery life while providing remote control of the camera.

[Yes] I love using this camera! It really allows for spontaneous recording, more than even with my smartphone because it's so quick to start and go. All the buttons are distinct and tactile so you don't have to look at the camera, but the touchscreen is very usable. My theory is the camera doesn't really turn off but goes into a sleep mode (which is why it's so fast to get going). You can have the camera connected by USC-C to a battery while recording so it doesn't use the internal battery (but it only charges while off). 2) 4K recording can result in overheating. And from what I observe, it's less about ambient temperature and more about environment. I was in a relatively average room with no moving air (AC was off) and I could get it to overheat, but if I was in a warmer outdoor scenario with moving air, it would overheat less. 1080p recording never overheats. 5

[Optional] Used for point and shoot and for movies in HD. I carry the camera with me at all times since it is as small as my cell phone. The video quality is so good I will never purchase a separate bulky video camera. Newer Canon models are on the market but the SD960 had all the features I wanted and at half the price of the new ones. It has so many shooting modes that I sometimes wonder why I need my Nikon D70. I guess the simple answer is the variety of lens I have with the D70. Macro shooting is fantastic.It starts up very fast. Focus is fast. It informs you of when your zoom will start to pixelate which is a great feature. I found some 1400mAh batteries from China that work well and provide a VERY long battery life. They also charge quickly. The Canon standard battery offers only about 950mAhs. The computer software package is fairly lame. I prefer using basic Microsoft software of PhotoShop. 5

[Yes] I lost this same camera a few months ago. Bought a cheap Sanyo.; hoping my trusty Canon would show up. It didn't. The Sanyo didn't come close to the picture quality of this Canon. I re-bought the identical Canon; and I'm back to taking high-quality, no-brainer photos. Really superb vacation photos. In good light, for a point and shoot; it can't be beat. 5
