Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does anyone have a photo of that install tool they offer?

A: CIEMs have the MMCX connector, you can simply snap them on. If they use a different type of connector then you'll want to remove and replace the whole cable assembly.

Q: 2. Will this adapter allow me to connect a PS Embrace mic to a Sennheiser XSW transmitter?

A: No, that would not be possible. To be able to do that with a Point Source Embrace model, you would only need the one that is made for compatible with Sennheiser Evolution series transmitters like B&H # POEO8WLXSEBE for example.

Q: 3. is this article compatible with the RODE WIRLESS GOII?

A: The Point Source Audio CO-3 Earworn Omnidirectional Microphone with Locking 3.5mm Connector for Sennheiser Transmitters (Beige) is not compatible with the RODE Wireless GO II.

Q: 4. will this work with a countryman mic??

A: It took me a while to find our old E6 to try. Yes, this headset will hold the countryman in place. The microphone is a bit looser a fit than the Point Source that it is made for and i didn't do exhaustive testing but it seems to me like it would hold up through a production. i took a picture but i don't see a way to attach it.

Q: 5. Will this work with the 3 or 4 pin connector or 3.5mm?

A: Hi Mark! This mic model EO-8WL-XAT-BE has an interchangeable X-Connector compatible with the Audio-Technica (XAT) wireless system. If you wish to switch out to other wireless brands, you simply swap out for another X-Connector which can be purchased separately. For example, XSH (for Shure) or XSE (for Sennheiser.)

Q: 6. What environment would the high sensitivity be best for over low sensitivity?

A: A microphone with high sensitivity is best for capturing a quiet voice while a mic with low sensitivity is best for a loud voice.

Q: 7. How long is the cable on this microphone? From end to end?

A: The length of the cable of the Point Source Audio Series8 CO-8WLh Omnidirectional High-Sensitivity Waterproof Lavalier Microphone (Sony, Beige) is 4' / 1.2 m.

Q: 8. Is the connector screw on (lockable)?

A: Hello John, This microphone has a hardwired termination of the connector. Hope that helps!

Q: 9. Does this headset work under really loud environments like baseball, basketball and football stadiums?

A: This headset would work well in noisy environments. Please note, this headset has a 5 pin xlr male connection and is designed for use specifically with RTS stereo belt packs with a 5 pin xlr female connection.

Q: 10. Does this mic require any phantom power please?

A: This mic is designed with a connector for Sennheiser wireless transmitters, it does not require phantom power but does require voltage to operate 1 -10v which is provided by the transmitter.

[4' / 1.2 m] I had never even heard of the brand before seeing them on the B&H site. I gambled and purchased 3 of them for an event that was 5 days away. I received them 2 days before the event so I had them for dress rehearsal and the event itself. The mics worked flawlessly and performed better than some mics that I have that are double the price of these! Awesome first impression of Point Source mics!! These make me want to try some of those ultra flexible CO-7s. :)
