Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this work with smaller digital cameras like the Pentax WG-3 GPS camera? If so, can the camera angle be adjusted up or down while wearing the chest harness or is it a fixed position?

A: Yes, this harness is actually designed for the WG series cameras and is compatible with the WG-3 PS model. The harness allows the camera to be shifted to the left or right to gain perfect positioning, and also has a quick release button which will allow the camera to be tilted forward to regard the LCD screen. Otherwise it is more or less fixed in place once you have it mounted.

Q: 2. Is this the latest version with the 'Silent on Set system' ie. the elastic pouch? I did purchase this chest pack 2 years ago and received the 'Silent on Set' version from BH despite the photo showing the prior velcro version (happy accident), so just want to make sure it's still the latest one :)

A: Here is the latest info about the current version: -Adjustable to fit most two-way radios -One quick release buckle and you’re in or out -Silent on Set System -Two convenient storage compartments -Pen and pencil slots -Tri-Ring strap system for optimal size adjustment -Made from 600D polyester -8” Tall 8.5” Wide

Q: 3. Will this fit my Nikon Z7 with the Nikkor 24-70 lens?

A: The Nikon Z7 II Mirrorless Camera with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Lens fits in the WANDRD Route Camera Chest Pack (Tan).

Q: 4. I just bought the Canon R5 Mark 2 & want 2 use it along with the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens will hold weight?

A: The USA GEAR TrueSHOT Camera Chest Harness Strap (Black) can support the weight of the Canon EOS R5 Mark II Mirrorless Camera, lens adapter, and the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens attached.

Q: 5. is this the same connectors as the OpTech straps?

A: The connectors on the USA GEAR TrueSHOT Camera Chest Harness Strap (Southwest) are not compatible with the connectors from the OP/TECH strap system.

Q: 6. Will this chest pack work with a Samsung Galaxy Pro?

A: The Setwear iPad Chest Pack is designed specifically for the iPad and may not properly work with Samsung products.

Q: 7. Would this fit a 6 year old child?

A: Yes, the straps can be adjusted to fit any size torso.

Q: 8. Will a 1DX Mark III body be able to fit into the Route pack?

A: The 1DX Mark III body will fit in this pack.

Q: 9. Would this be good with a Pentax K-3ii with battery pack? What about when using a telephoto or zoom lens?

A: Yes. This chest harness will be able to accommodate most standard size 35mm DSLR's, including the Pentax K-3II. This harness will be the most secure way to attach your camera to your body while moving around. I would not recommend using the battery grip with the Pentax harness but you could use this Cotton Carrier instead: https://bhpho.to/3pAVE4n

Q: 10. I own this brand's single strap version and love it but I want to be able to wear 2 cameras. I can't find a real double harness in this brand. Is there any way to rig this one to safely hold 2 cameras?

A: Unfortunately we do not know of a way to safely hold two cameras on USA GEAR TrueSHOT Camera Harness Strap (Polka Dot)

[Yes] It helps out a lot if you have a smaller setup. I sometimes use it as a shoulder pad as well.

[Yes] I came from the era of the Canon XL1. Remember that camera? If not, look up a picture. A lot was said about that funky fold-out chest pad, but I loved it. It was a thoughtful, ergonomic solution for a camera that could be used handheld, but didn't have enough back-weight to justify a full pad balanced on your shoulder. I don't know why more prosumer or compact cinema cameras didn't implement a similar solution.

Anyway, the LanParte Chest Pad... it's awesome. I own two of them. I have a very compact Canon R5C setup and I like to shoot handheld, but I don't like to do the mid-body baby-tuck hold. I'm also not stable enough to just hold the rig by the camera grip and an added left-side handle. This allows me to have the magic 3 points of contact for more stable handheld shooting. It does put a little more weigh forward of your body, so you have to allow for that and rest when possible... keep that in mind. Also, since I like to keep the rig as close to my body as possible, I replaced the included 8 aluminum rod with a 6 carbon fiber rod to move it closer in, and help a little with weight.

This is not a replacement for a shoulder pad setup, it is an alternative setup for handheld work. Know what you're getting this pad for, and I think you'll like it. Highly recommended.

[0.09 lb] This is a great chest mount at a fraction of the cost of the official GoPro version. It practically does the same thing. I would not hesitate buying one if you're in the market for one. The mount holds the GoPro securely without any play. 5 stars.

[Black] Needed a way to secure a Blackmagic 1 M/E Broadcast panel into a mobile AV cart. This plus some industrial strength velcro and I'm pretty confident it won't be moving.

[Nylon] I wore the chest portion of it on my 4-mile run a couple of days ago and was very pleased with the results. I will try the head portion of it next week and I have a feeling that will also make me glad that I made this purchase.

[Nylon] don't know why you'd buy the other ones for 3-4x the cost.

[Black] This is my first chest strap. I wasn't expecting much but it is very sturdy and supports my Osmo action just fine. Definitely recommended.

[Nylon] I'm a lumpy guy, but the adjustments available allow me to carry my 77D and drive-around 100-400 comfortably and safely. Pretty, too.

That said, I have more than one camera body, and will have to buy a second full harness soon, because I'm spoiled. Might consider a different latch to camera method so I can use it with others.
