Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this grip work with a battery grip attached to the camera? Specifically a K-3 with a D-BG5?

A: Not a problem - plenty of clearance

Q: 9. Will this strap fit a Leica R6 or F-E?

A: I have one on my Nikkormat FTn, which is not small, so I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't fit just as well on a Leica R6. And it's long enough to sling over both my neck and shoulder and carry it behind me . . . in normal clothes. But it probably wouldn't be long enough to do the same thing with a heavy bulky jacket on. If I were really skinny - maybe.

Q: 10. Will this work with the first generation camera?

A: This Megagear case is only compatible with the DC-LX10 II.

[Yes] Comfortably accommodates my Sony RX1007 and Leica D Lux 7 and their chargers. Good quality leather. Premium feel. Classy. But not discrete. Excellent value.

[Yes] I was looking for a sling bag that could support a Nikon Z with a native 70-200mm f2.8 attached and tried several slings including some from Think-tank. Most sling bags are not wide enough to Fit large lenses attached to the camera, and also tend to carry More vertically. This Sling carries differently because of rotating pivot joints on the bag and so can be carried in a more horizonal position, reducing uncomfortable rubbing points on the lower back. The quality is unmistakable. The zippers, hardware and leather are built to last a lifetime.

Oberwerth is a classic German company, very light on online details, which is why I am writing this review. At this price point it would be great to have less guesswork involved before hitting submit on the order.

FINAL THOUGHTS: This bag is for the person who doesn't want a giant camera backpack, who maybe wants to take a larger lens to a sports tournament, and not look completely out of place doing so. This is not for large wildlife/birding lenses (too small) but if your total length of lens and camera falls under 13 inches, it should work splendidly, while maintaining a sense of elegance, and a quality feel that will be present long after the price of the bag is forgotten. Camera owners buy way too many bags (the word on the street) mostly because all bags are a compromise of size, comfort, weather sealing, appearance, functionality, fit etc. the goal for me was fewer bags, that serve multiple real world transportation scenarios. If this review saves anyone from buying 3 or 4 other bags trying to find the right one, you might even come out ahead cost/clutter wise buying this. (I Can't believe I am saying this, but it might just be true).

[Brown] I bought this strap for a Sony A7C2. I needed a 47 length and most smaller straps are just 40 long, which is too tight with a jacket. I couldn't decide to go with brown or black. Because brown was backordered, I went with black. It came in both colors. The strap is not fully black. It is brown on the inside, which compliments well with the copper ring on the camera. Personally Iike it a lot and it fits what I was looking for. But I think B&H should point this out, because not everybody may like the brown detail. The strap is thin, which works well for this camera. Often I warp it around my wrist. But with heavier cameras/lenses I would probably go with a wider strap to not hurt my shoulder. The Sony camera with a Sigma 85mm 1.4 is still ok. The strap is not cheap but well crafted. I hope it will last. I had an even more expensive Vivante leather strap on a heavier camera and it broke and couldn't be repaired. This one seems more solid. So far, I can highly recommend this A&A strap.

[Brown] One part was not of the expected quality. A short email to the company triggered a response I rarely get from companies:
Express shipment replacement. They care!
A product is only as good as its support.
