[12 VDC at 55 mA] Loved the idea that this is RF and doesn't need to be in the line of sight to control the Light unit. Other manufacturers are IR and need to see the controller. The lightbar I use it with, is facing my DJ Facade so I couldn't use the others. Great idea ! 5

[0.105 lb] I have to admit when I purchased this for my ADJ Mega Bar RGBA, I did so with very little confidence and thought it was a bot gimmicky but for the money I wanted to give it a try. Well, I can honestly say it is a superb little remote and works very well. I connected my two Mega Bars together with DMX cable out in the garage and set one on slave with RF off. The other was set with RF on. I walked into the house, through the nook, through the kitchen, into the dining room and to the other side of the house. I then turned my back to the lights so it had to go through 1 fire wall, two internal house walls, a refrigerator and my body. Then with the antenna left down just to test it further, I used the remote and it worked flawlessly. It convinced me it would work well from at least 50 feet away through obstacles... 5

[120' (36 m)] I use this to control my ADJ Mega Bar RGBA, which I use to backlight my mobile DJ facade. Enables quick switches between modes and colors which comes in handy when wedding photographer needs to get good pictures of the reception. Never had any problem with its functionality or its range. 5

[120' (36 m)] Most users will be driving their Chauvet DJ lights from DMX. However, this is a nice device when you have DMX go down or have something unexpected occur. If you have the RF function enabled in the light's setup the light still works on DMX but can get shut down or changed via the remote. Useful if some light stops talking for some reason or needs to be forced. And the remote will send a fairly direct IR beam so it's easy to make sure it only sends the signal to one fixture if others are close by. It's also useful when just unpacking and setting up Prior to rigging and connecting to dmx as a quick test of the lights core functions at the outset. For the cost and it's size it is easy to toss into a camera bag or side pouch. 5
