Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it work with a Canon DSLR EOS Rebel SL3, and what cable would I need to plug the mic directly into the camera? Thank you.

A: This Rode VideoMic GO II Ultracompact Analog/USB Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone can plug into any camera with a mic jack, including the SL3. There would be an included 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, so you don't need to purchase anything extra.

Q: 2. Can it connect to a computer and allow you to control the settings of the units? Essentially like a USB Hub.

A: This item is the ANDYCINE Charging Case for the Rode Wireless GO/Wireless GO II Microphone System. It only functions as a charger. The Rode Wireless GO II 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder (B&H # ROWGII) can be connected to a computer and you can control the settings of the transmitters when using the wireless system with the computer.

Q: 3. How do I mount this to a Nikon Z9? The cold shoe mount on the bottom doesn't fit natively with the hot shoe mount on the camera.

A: A good option to mount this Rode VideoMic GO II Microphone to the Nikon Z9 is by using the SmallRig Camera Cage for Nikon Z9, BH # SMCNZ9. https://bhpho.to/3WGtH9F

Q: 4. Does this microphone work with Fujifilm X100F? What cables do I need?

A: The RODE VideoMic GO II Ultracompact Analog/USB Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone cannot be used with the FUJIFILM X100F Digital Camera because the X100F does not have a microphone input jack.

Q: 5. Can I charge with the windsock on Wireless GO's or does that need to come off?

A: You would pull it off to prevent obstruction between the Rode Go Transmitter and the charger.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with canon m50?

A: Yes, this microphone will work with any camera that has a 3.5mm audio input jack.

Q: 7. Does the dead cat from the original version fit this mic?

A: The Rode VideoMic GO II Ultracompact Analog/USB Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone is a bit shorter and also a bit wider than the original VideoMic GO. The DeadCat GO may fit over the new GO II, but it will likely be tight on the diameter and have some extra length to accommodate for.

Q: 8. Will this have room to hold two lav mics too?

A: The ANDYCINE Charging Case for Rode Wireless GO/Wireless GO II Microphone System does not allocate extra room for other accessories such as lavalier microphones and is meant for charging the wireless components only.

Q: 9. Will the case stop charging and prevent batter issues? Or will it continue to charge when it is in my bag?

A: The ANDYCINE Charging Case for Rode Wireless GO/Wireless GO II Microphone System will charge continuously. Therefore, it is recommended to remove the Wireless GO units after roughly two hours of charging.

Q: 10. Can this be plugged directly into the GoPro Hero 8? Without an adapter?

A: Yes, the USB-C input of the GoPro Hero 8 should allow direct USB connection from the Rode VideoMic GO II Ultracompact Analog/USB Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone.

[USB] I use these to charge our Rode Wireless Go II microphones. I teach high school video/film production so these are used a lot. So far, they have withstood the abuse of teenagers. That being said, they do not feel as solid as some other options. For example, I have the Hollyland Lark Pro and the charging case for that is very well constructed. This feels cheap and plasticky, but so far it works.

[Black] This is not only a very efficient and long lasting charging case, but also a very useful control center for my RODE Wireless GO II sysyem, which I bought in 2022 and at that time came with 3 USB-C cables, to charge each piece individually, and a simple carrying bag.

This Charging Case helps me keep my system charged (it holds one charge for more than 2 weeks) and safely stored. The App available at their website is very important to monitor the status of the system, manage settings and/or download the sound files the RX records to any media you select.

[USB] The Auray Wireless Charger with Case for Rode Wireless GO and Wireless GO II has been a nice little wireless charger.

It's compact, well-made, and comes with a little case so it's easy to toss in a bag and not worry about anymore.

For my purposes, I only use this with a wireless charger and it works great. The fewer cords I deal with the better. I saw some comments on the cords and I have a bunch of USB A to C cords so I haven't run into any issues.

All-in-all this works great for what I need it to do.
