Nothing special about this D tap connector. There are many like it. It's priced right and is what the description says. I got it for the Godox ML-60 bicolor. Run this cord between the light and a v mount battery, and get rid of the cords on the floor that need to plug in to a wall. It eliminated tripping hazards in the studio, opened up more run-n-gun content creation, and acts as a counter weight when mounted super low on the light stant. 5

Even though it seems to be of a design that may fail, I have used it non-stop for two years of Production Sound for double system film sound recording and it has worked perfectly. I actually bought two of them in case one failed, but so far I have only used one. It is much better than the one made by Sound Devices, because it has a lower profile when fitted with an XL-B3 battery pack. A professional will pay attention to what they are doing when inserting and removing this, and will never have problems! 5

I was looking for a small, low profile power system to power my Sony A7Sii, monitor, follow focus and wireless transmitter. I bought this with the Hawk-Woods 98Wh and 150Wh Mini V-Mount batteries. Since the plate comes with 4 built in D-Tap receptacles I am able to have one small but powerful battery source for everything. The plate also takes my full size V-Mount batteries should I need them in. 5

This is NOT Velcro! Its one strip and it sticks to itself when you press the pieces together. The glue on the back is quite strong. The teeth on the strip are deeper than Velcro. The material is very stiff, suitable for holding items of moderate weight. If you want to hold light wires together, use something else. I will probably want more of this. 5
