A: No the maximum size supported on this unit is 10" ipads it will not hold a 12" ipad

[8 GB] I just wanted to report that this bracket works with my 9.7 inch iPad Pro in portrait as well as landscape mode when not enclosed in a case. I know that my iPad is now a few years old, but some of you, like me, may still be using your 9.7 inch iPad. I suspect that newer iPad Pros will only work in landscape mode, so if landscape works for you, I would not hesitate to recommend this mount. 5

[UFS] This mount is made of metal, not plastic. It holds my 9.7 iPad both horizontally AND vertically, firmly in place without scratching. There is both a hot shoe and tripod mount on the bottom (not shown in the picture). 5

[5.2] Does what it's supposed to and feels nicely made, having the mount machined into the hold is convenient but if arca-type mounts don't work for you just flip it over and use the screw mount 5

[120 Hz] The separate light stand mount has more flexibility for working with professionals who need to use their own tripod with their camera equipment. The elastic opening in the back works with large and small lenses. Text visibility was very good. Simple to use with any teleprompter app and ipad. No need to use the straps, the iPad rests flat on the base. 5

[120 Hz] I searched for a metal tripod mount for my iPad Mini 6 and opted for the Ulanzi U-Pad. Perfect choice. Very heavy duty and solid. Could use a little more room in the too and bottom grips for an encased iPad but still works fine. Highly recommend, especially if you're trying to use less plastic and if you prefer solidly built equipment that will last indefinitely. 5

[Lithium-Ion] Purchased a new iPad to live stream college sporting events. This tripod mount fits the iPad perfectly, is simple to adjust, and is sturdy. Existing shoe from a tripod screws into the bottom of the mount. 5
