This white Atlas Handle Set for RED KOMODO - White, Left & Rightfrom Atlas Handle Set for RED KOMODO - White, Left & Rightis a left and right pair of milled aluminum handles with branch connectors for mounting to the side 1/4"-20s on your RED KOMODO. Machined from 6061 aluminum and anodized in various finishes. It comes with one set of branch connectors included with the handles.

A: The outrigger has mounting holes for mounting gear on top of it. Most nato rails are hollow in the center to allow the mounting screws to slide back/forth as needed. For example you may want to consider SmallRig Quick Release NATO Rail (3.9) B&H # SM1134 MFR # 1134

Q: 2. Is it possible to mount a monitor above this handle, centered on the Komodo?

A: Yes, the handle has two 1/4"-20 threads for accessory attachments.

Q: 3. What is the distance, center to center, of the 1/4x20" mounting screws? One of the photos says 18mm side spacing, but I'm not sure if they are referring to the distance between the screws.

A: This handle is designed to work with Smallrig cages and Smallrig does not provide the spacing information.

Q: 4. Are the 1/4 20 holes on top of the outrigger handle the same as the ones on the komodo distance wise?

A: Yes, that is correct.

Q: 5. Is it possible to use this outrigger handle, a top handle, and the RED DSMC3 7" monitor on a Komodo X?

A: The RED Komodo-X only has one POGO and it will be utilized by the outrigger handle. You can still use a top handle and a monitor, if you select one of the available cages to accessorize with. You will be able to output to the screen via SDI.

Q: 6. Does this fit and record control on the V-Raptor?

A: Yes, the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO Outrigger Handle is compatible with the RED V-RAPTOR.

A: Right

Q: 8. Would the new RED Komodo X Top Handle fit on top of this side handle?

A: No, the RED Komodo X Top Handle will not connect to the top of the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO Outrigger Handle. You would have to choose one or the other handle.

Q: 9. Is it possible to mount on DSMC2?

A: This is specifically for the Red Komodo. It will not work with DSMC2 bodies.

Q: 10. Does this work with the Small Rig Komodo Cage? (I.e remove top part of small rig cage and put this on.)

A: No. Doing so will jeopardize integrity and support of roll cage.

[Dual Handgrips] I was skeptical about spending $475 on a handle that only has the capability of start/stop recording however this handle is a solid build, ergonomic, and convenient. The quality of the handle definitely justifies the price. I wish you could change aperture or scroll through the menu but not a deal breaker. I recommend this if you want a solid grip and the convenience of start/stop. 5

[Dual Handgrips] Makes a huge difference for handheld footage. most cages have a handle right next to the sensor so the hand movements are more severe. The outrigger mounts to the top of the camera so a lot of those minor shakes seem to die down and provides much more pleasing handheld use. 5

[Aluminum] Solid attachment and solid grip. Having run/stop on a handle makes everything so much easier on run and gun shoots. I like not having to re-adjust my grip just to press record. 5

[Dual Handgrips] I mean this cant be anymore complicated then turning on your camera. Easy to attach and remove and allows for quick run and stop recording feature for your Red Komodo. 5

[0.77 lb] I have a few different handles for my Komodo setup, but this one is my favorite. It is very comfortable, has a great design, and I love that you still have the ability to mount a monitor on top. The record button is perfectly placed and very convenient. I would recommend this for any Komodo owner! 5

[0.77 lb] This is a must have accessory for the Komodo. It changes the ergonomics of the camera so it's easy to carry and shoot with. I wish the trigger button was a little easier to push but overall well worth the money. 5
