The eyepiece set at 45° to the scope body allows for easier and more comfortable viewing when sitting, standing, or lying prone, and a lower tripod height for improved stability

[17.0 to 20.0 mm] We purchased this spotting scope and a small tripod to watch wildlife and ship traffic around us. Our purchase has not disappointed us, particularly at B&H's prices.

[17.0 to 20.0 mm] Went to Yellowstone. Tons of scopes all watching a grizzly bear. For the price I love mine over a bunch of others. Would easily buy it again. Love the wide eyepiece. Better than the vortex. I am very impressed. The free tripod is awesome as well. Very sturdy. Not great for hiking but just out of the car it is awesome. Very pleased with my purchase. I have purchased several $300+ scopes. Just buy this scope and you will love it. Can see everything so much better. Even canyons away. Awesome!!

[20 to 60x] At 4.25 pounds, this is not a lightweight spotting scope. The build quality, however, is top drawer and will be good for several lifetimes. The glass is superb and images are sharp. Every control is smooth with just the right amount of resistance. IMO you can pay a lot more without getting better performance.

[80 mm] I mainly use this scope for long distance shooting. The clarity is amazing and the huge objective lens transmits a enormous amount of light through. It is definitely possible to use this scope up until last light and spot trace. The reason I am writing this review is because I recently had my zoom ring lock up after almost two years of light use. I sent the scope into Meopta and within a couple of weeks they sent me an entirely new spotting scope. I am very appreciative of how Meopta took care of me and am very satisfied with this scope.

[80 mm] the meopta meopro is a top quality scope. It is clear all through the zoom range. I am pleased with my purchase. B and H was easy to order from and I will purchase from them again.

[20 to 60x] Have Five of the Meopta rifle scopes and have never been disappointed. This scope is a little heavy but the quality is from back to front, the resolution is something you would expect from a much more expensive scope. you defiantly get you moneys worth.

[80 mm] By far the best spotting scope I own. I have a
Leupold GR 20-60x80 (straight) and a Vortex Razor HD 27-60x85 (Angled) and the Meopta MeoPro HD has better clarity than the Leupold and the Vortex is absolute junk compared to the Meopta. On a clear day with no Mirage I can spot my 6.5 cal bullet holes at 1000 yards. On a bad day with lots of mirage I, can still spot my bullet holes on paper at 700 yards. Not sure how Meopta makes such a Top Tier Optic at such a good price but I am just blown away with the quality !!! By the way, dont look any further, B&H has the best price on any optic, hands down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[80 mm] The scope is really well designed and constructed. All the touches feel of high quality. The snout extends, the twist-up eye cup reaches a plateau, locking it in the extended position. The mount is just about right on the balance-point. Focus is very smooth, no need for gearing. The finish is rugged and scientific looking (if that's a thing). The case is fiddly to put on and take off, but once it's on, it opens up so you can use everything.
The view is crisp, clear and contrasty. Overall I can't think of one bad thing about this one. Factoring in all the details with the price, it's an absolutely incredible value.
I always wanted to try a Hawke. I wish I did sooner.

[17.0 to 20.0 mm] After extensive research, I settled on this spotting scope. In its class, for a mid-tier spotting scope, it is head and shoulders above the rest. I bought this for wildlife viewing in the national parks and I am so glad that I bought this one! The glass is excellent with edge to edge clarity. The center focus ring on the body has just the right resistance and I found it to be very smooth, contrary to some other reviews. It comes with a great limited lifetime warranty. B&H includes a great (and free) carbon-fiber tripod for it for the same price ($1,389) that Amazon offers for just the scope without the tripod. I was also very happy with the tripod which is branded Meopta but i think is probably made by Manfrotto. The tripod head exchange directions are a bit vqgue. To take off the ball-head and put the fluid head on, just twist off the ball-head counter-clockwise , turn it upside down and use the smaller allen wrench (included) to insert in the headless screw on the bottom-end of the ball-head to separate the top from the bottom . You can then mount the appropriate end onto the tripod center rod and then attach the fluid head. I lost 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back figuring that out. Aside from that B & H offers a great deal for a quality scope. I highly recommend this spotting scope-buy it you'll like it1
