The camera side Veracity LONGSPAN Max Hi-PoE Extender Camera Sidefrom Veracity LONGSPAN Max Hi-PoE Extender Camera Sideenables the transmission of 802.3bt (90W) PoE to an IP camera or remote network device. This unit receives PoE power from the base side extender (available separately) and transmits it via Cat 6 or Cat 5e cable to the camera or IP device.

Featuring an unrestricted 10/100 Mb/s full-duplex network connection, this unit self-configures for optimum performance every time it is connected and eliminates the need for user setup, DIP switch settings, and system pairings. Q: 1. What's the difference between this and the 3212 model?

A: Changes after Smallrig 3212B cage upgrade： Increase the space in front of the hot shoe, compatible with Sony microphone ECM-W2BT, flash HVL-F32M. Enlarge the shoulder strap port, more convenient to install the shoulder strap. Increase the dummy battery alignment port, dummy battery alignment more convenient. A: The AC power cable is included

Q: 3. Whait is the difference between the outreach lite and the outreach max Ethernet extender?

A: While both units need PoE to function, the Outreach Max MUST send power and data or the unit will not function properly. The Outreach Lite is the device you would use to extend data without power and additional 100 meters.

Q: 4. I assume that this device can be used in conjunction with the Powerstar Quad? Can the veracity highwire vhw-hw be used instead with the Quad and have a power supply on the Quad?

A: Yes you can since the Quad accepts PoE and non PoE IP cameras.

Q: 5. Do these fitb GoPro fusion as well?

A: The GoPro Protective Lenses for MAX 360 Camera (4-Pack) will not fit the GoPro Fusion.

Q: 6. Does it have a straight or angled Plug ?

A: The Kensington Hi-Fi Headphones (BH # KEK33137) features a straight, 3.5mm mini connector.

Q: 7. can this camera be Daisy Chained and if so, what is necessary?

A: You can daisy-chain the AViPAS AV-1281 for camera control. You will need to use an 8-pin male to male cascade cable and go from the RS-232 OUT of one camera to the RS-232 IN of another camera.

Q: 8. Does this pass phantom power (48v)? The last xls barrel adapter I tried did not, making it useless form my application

A: Yes, the Shure A15HP does allow phantom power to pass through so it can be used with condenser microphones as well as dynamic microphones.

Q: 9. Our camera is 75' from the platform. will this camer zoom that far without distortion?

Q: 10. How does IP addressing work? Does the unit pull 4 IPs from my network or reuse 1? I am trying to determine if I will end up with a quad-display inside one of the camera zone's on my NVR.

A: All this unit does is convert the Ethernet signal to work over coax, your router will still provide each device with an IP address. You will still need the VHW-HWPS-C to make this work properly.

[Silver / Blue] Used other extenders and was able to extend the power without issue. But the data was still kind of off. These extended them both using the POE directly from the switch. Recommend them to anyone looking to use existing cat6 cable vs switching to fiber. 5

[85%] I have two of these units outside, weather protected of course, and they have worked flawlessly for us. The distances are about 250 feet on each side of unit, letting us reach 500 feet total. Some reviewers claim not able to reach over 275 feet or so on both sides with one of these devices, but sorry to say I can't confirm that. Here's a tip: Use short length of PVC pipe from hardware store to weatherproof the unit. Use 1.25 or 1.5 inch pipe (don't remember which it was) and the unit fits right in. Use PVC threaded caps to seal both sides of pipe (I use threaded in case I have to access device). Drill small hole on each cap and thread the CAT5 cable through, put on the clips, insert them into device, put a squirt of all-weather caulk on drill holes to seal it up. 5

[1 W] Veracity just works. When you need enterprise-grade ethernet gear that can function for many years, even in harsh environments like manufacturing, you will be pleased when you choose Veracity. You can also stack this VOR-ORL-G after VOR-ORM-GXT to get even more distance. Easier and cheaper than running fiber.
