A: We are not aware of this unit being able to be used in the opposite direction. You will need to attach it to the camera as shown.

Q: 9. Are there mounting holes on the bottom for attaching a quick release plate? Or do you have to use it with a Tilta dovetail?

A: There are two 1/4" and one 3/8" threads on the bottom along with the Arri style clamp. Pro tip. The Arri style baseplate and dovetail can be tricky to mount and slide. Do NOT apply oil or any lubrication. This will only gather dirt and make the sliding worse. Instead, make sure the pieces are scrupulously clean. Then it will work as intended.
