A zippered and padded laptop compartment secures a notebook up to 17", keeping it well protected as you travel. [Gray] The Mobile Edge Alienware Vindicator Backpack for 18 Laptop & Gear is everything other reviews said it would be. I did not really want a backpack, I wanted a briefcase style bag, but I cannot seam to find any at good price point with good features that fir the mammoth ROGs. Alienware knocks it out of the park with the Vindicator Series. I want to let you know the actual size of the ASUS ROG G75VW-DS72 laptop. 16.34 x 12.6 x 2.047 thick with a 17.3 diag. screen. All the measurements are exact from the manufacture, verified with a tape measure and tight to the body. The one thing the manufactures do not take into consideration is that the bezels are all different thicknesses, newer laptops are much thinner than their older counterparts, therefor using the screen size as a determining factor is not possible for large format laptops. I took a chance on someone else's review that their ROG laptop fit with room to spare. Look at my pictures and you will actually see it fitting with a little room to spare on the sides and plenty on top. Hope this helps the next person. 5

[Yes] Most hoods and loupes are over-priced and ineffective, so many of us try DIY-ing, which is usually just more cheaply ineffective. This Orca hood is NOT expensive and has its elastic band attached to a plastic cable running around the base, instead of directly to the fabric. The cable seems to stabilize and spread the hood's point-of-contact further around the LCD screen, and the elastic band can slide to the diagonal if that helps to seat the hood on the screen. I use this hood on my Sony PXW-X70 (it was recommended in the camera's user group on FB). The X70 has a touch-screen focus/meter shift function, and this hood is relatively deep, so I use a pencil eraser to touch the screen and rack-focus when outdoors. So far, it's great. Little to no little light leak. Only caveat: the hood has Velcro patches inside it to flatten it for storage, and when mounting it, it takes a while to remind the corners they are meant to be squared. Storing it open in your camera bag with batteries and lens cleaning supplies inside it helps. 5
