[5 GHz] Great app for adjusting your lights without having to use the small display on the trigger or moving from where you're shooting. I shoot tethered in the studio, so I can see an image, make any adjustments on the lighting power, etc. in another window on my laptop, and shoot. 5

[Pole, Wall] With the 5.8GHz radios I can deliver 50Mbps to customers IF the noise is not bad. With these I can deliver 1.5Gbps and have no noise. This unit as a precision alignment mount that really works! The lower cost Nano Wave works fine but I cannot get it aligned as well as this unit. 5

[Pole, Wall] After finally getting 1 gig internet service I needed a way to send it 1000 feet to another building. After researching options I settled on these as the NanoBeam only passes up to 450mb and the GigaBeam can pass up to a gig. By the way I am getting around 800 at the other end. These seem like a pretty solid unit. Very happy. 5

[AES, WEP 256] The configuration and install went fine..The only issue I had was getting the signal level at expected levels because the power is set based on distance apart...It wasn't until I changed the 60 Ghz channel, then I got good RX levels on both master and slave units. I suspect there was some kind of interference on the other channels I tried. They work great and i'm getting about 800-900 mbps capacity. 5

[5 GHz] I use this to extend my LAN inside my home to a spot that is virtually impossible to run Cat 5/6 cable. Distance is 70 ft and it's a clear shot. Works great. This probably would not have worked if there had been walls blocking the beam. The 60 GB GigaBeam replaced a mesh WIFI access arrangement resulting in more stable WIFI connections. It also feeds a network switch to other devices in that end of the house. 5

[AES, WEP 256] I use an Elinchrom EL Skyport triger which has the ability to control the lights from my camera. However, the Skyport requires a number of button pushes to adjust several lights. Ok, I'm whining. The bridge let's me adjust four groups of lights (in my case four lights) with an easy iPhone touch control. The one small ding on the device is that I had trouble getting it to initially sync up with my iPhone. After a good bit of fiddling, I followed the instruction to first update the Skyport Bridge software. That did the trick. I'm surprised, but probably shouldn't be, that manufacturers sell a product that needs an update right out of the box before it will perform a basic function. As I said, it's a small point. 5

[5 GHz] We love these things. Use them all over the place for short point to point applications. They're fast (over 2Gbps aggregate), reliable, easy to deploy, and they just work. I'll continue using these as long as I can get them. 5
