The Heritage Audio TT-73 Tabletop Mic Preamplifieris a wood and steel chassis 80 dB microphone and 10 dB line recording preamplifier based on the vintage 1073 module designed by Rupert Neve. The remake is intended for recording engineers who want the classic Neve sound in a portable tabletop footprint, but do not need the equalizer functionality of the original 1073. The unit includes a handle for easy carrying and has the versatility to be used on stage, on the road, in hotel rooms, and other applications outside of a traditional studio.

The preamplifier supports selectable HI-LO minimum balanced and floating input impedances that accommodate a range of microphone types including vintage ribbons. A +24/48V phantom power button with separate phantom voltage indicator lights is included on both channels, as well as an input level knob for adjusting to your source. You can also switch the module into line mode to re-amplify pre-recorded tracks and add color to a mix. The front of the unit features 1/4" DI jack that engages the input transformer. On each channel, the unit also includes a 1/4" DI thru jack for connecting to an instrument amplifier when using the unit live on stage. A selectable discrete component class A 3rd-order 80 Hz high-pass filter with an 18 dB per octave slope has been added for recording sources without the effects of low-frequency coloration. An output control knob is included to prevent overloading the preamplifier.

The unit is powered by an internal noiseless worldwide power supply designed to reduce the effects of electromagnetic interference on the audio transformers. A ground-lift switch is included to remove ground loops. The preamp features gold-plated Neutrik XLR input and output connectors. To achieve the classic feel of the original 1073, the unit is constructed with Marconi-style knobs and vintage engraved pushbuttons for the DI, low impedance, line, pad, phase, and high-pass functions.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. When I use a camera D7100 with lens 18-300mm, which weight is about 3lb, Could Oben tripod TT-50 support them?

A: The TT-50 is a small table top tripod. With the ball head in a vertical position it may be OK. If there is any pressure on the ball head, it could creep. A better choice may be the Oben TT-100 which has a removable head. See the link below. If the head cannot handle the specific situation, a more robust head can be attached.

Q: 2. Are the ball head of Oben TT-50 and Oben TT-100 the same or different? What is the advantage of these difference if they are?

A: The 2 tripods and heads are basically the same. The main difference is that the head of the TT-100 can be removed and another head can be attached. The TT-50 does not have this feature.

Q: 3. Can you hook up a camera to it with the right adapters?

A: You will need (2) items. The Celestron SLR (35mm OR Digital) Camera Adapter for All Refractor and Reflector Telescopes which Accept 1.25" Eyepieces - Requires Camera-Specific T-Mount Adapter BH #CETA1.25 • MFR #93625 to attach to the scope and the appropriate T-mount for the make and model of the camera you wish to mount.

Q: 4. Leg base dimensions?

A: About 15 cm.......it was a good purchase, good quality.

Q: 5. Looking for tripod to take on my kayak and to do macro -I have mono pod w Oben quick release plate -can I use it on this as well ?

A: Hi, Pretty courageous move to take your camera on a kayak, hats off to you. I purchased the Oben TT-200 to use with a Leica D LUX 6, the ballhead provided with the TT 200 mounts to any camera body that supports the 1/4 screw mount. Your Oben quick release plate will not adapt to the TT 200 ballhead. However, you can remove your monopods bullhead and mount it to the TT 200 pole. Thats the way youll be able to use your quick release feature and plate. Happy Kayaking Thumbs upKind Regards Srecko

Q: 6. How long is each leg of the tripod?

A: Each leg is 4 3/8 inches long.

Q: 7. Can the column be unscrewed from the base?

A: Yes to both questions Brian. The center shaft is about 88 mm long with ball attachment and bottom o-ring cushioned stopper removed by easily unscrewing one or both. A very good utility travel tripod for a full size SLR.

Q: 8. Can I shoot straight down with this tripod without tipping forward? Thanks, Chuck

A: The tripod only weighs 10.5 ounces. Chances are almost any camera used in a complete downward position will tip over. For it not to tip over in that type of use it would need to be heavier a tripod.

Q: 9. I am having difficulty getting the unit to open in tripod stance. does it swing away from it, or do you pull the two pieces apart? it seems very tight

A: It may be very tight when new. The legs will swng away in opposite directions.

Q: 10. Is it possible to install the motorization kit for this telescope? Sky-Watcher Heritage 150mm f/5 Tabletop Dobsonian Telescope

A: No, it is not possible

[8.15 lb] I had some experince with a 50mm refractor that my dad owned, so I'm not an absolute newbie, and with that being said, this one doesn't feel like a toy like a small refractor does.
It has great optics and it is just plain capable. It is small so it is not the more powerful telescope in the world, but for something you can carry around I don't think you can ask for more. I just keep it on it's box and travel with it in my car to use whenever I see fit.
I was a bit apprehensive since is my first own telescope and people make collimation sound like a hussle, but mine came with the primary slightly out of collimation and it was remarkably easy to realign it.
The moon looks just phenomenal. Jupiter and Saturn are pretty and detailed, albeit small. It may be a good idea to purchase more powerful eyepieces along with a low power plossl, since the kellners that comes with this are just ok. I wasn't able to see any deep sky objects yet since I live in a heavily light polluted area.
The focuser is regarded as a low point in this kit, and it feels somewhat fragile. It can vibrate a bit, but with a little teflon tape it becomes a lot better to use. The glare of the open design can be bad if you have light sources around, but I solved with a thick cardstock paper.
Delivery was really fast, i live in Brazil and it came by DHL in only 10 days. The telescope dobsonian base came with two dents, nothing really big, but I'm finicky with this kind of thing, and I think it was a manufacturer fault since the box was perfectly sealed. The store staff was helpful and informed me perfectly, full remarks to the store.

[4.9 lb (2.2 kg)] The Oben TT-300 is a super study tabletop tripod! Top of the class all the way - sturdy, well designed, and well built. The Xuma smartphone mount is another story, but hey, it comes with the tripod as basically a free bonus. The bottom line is that this is the best tabletop tripod money can buy, and I highly recommend it.

[8.15 lb] I try to use this thing as often as I have a clear sky. looking at the stars and the moon with this is really awe-inspiring. I've been able to see a few nebulas and the moon looks great through it. I haven't seen any planets yet due to where I live and conditions. I thoroughly recommend to newcomers to the hobby.

[2] Must have for any kind of interviewing. I do a lot of interviewing in my video work and taking pictures of people across tables or of there products is much easier with a table top tripod.

[2] These excellent little tripods are indispensable, beautifully made, stronger than expected! I have occasionally stressed their load-carrying capability (within reasonable limits) and they have always survived well. I own several and would recommend these versatile little tripods heartily!
