Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a loop or feature for carry-ons when traveling through airports?

A: No, the compagnon Element Camera Backpack does not have a loop or slot to attach to a rolling carry on.

Q: 2. Are there loops/straps on the bottom for attaching a tripod or similar item?

A: compagnon Element Backpack (Desert Brown, 20L) accepts the tripod on the side of the bag. Same place where you could place a large water bottle. The bottom of the case does not have straps.

Q: 3. Can i bring this bag onto a plane?

A: The Compagnon Element backpack does fit carry-on specifications set by most airline carriers, but they have the final say. For confirmation, please check with your carrier on a flight-by-flight basis in case of specific flight restrictions.

Q: 4. Can you fit a 15 inch Macbook Pro in this bag?

A: Yes, a 15 inch MacBook Pro will fit in this bag.

Q: 5. Will this fit a 15in laptop

A: The Tenba Axis V2 Backpack is designed to fit a 14'' laptop. Since laptop sizes vary, it is recommended to compare your laptop to the size of the laptop sleeve, which is 9" x 14.5" x .75" (W x H x D). Regardless, most 15" laptops would not comfortably in the laptop sleeve. I would recommend getting the 24L version of this bag to assure a proper fit. https://bit.ly/3u5ODi8

Q: 6. Hi, I'd like to know if this bag fits a Canon R6 mark II + 3 RF lenses, the 24mm f1.8, the 50mm f 1.8 and the 85mm f2 ?

A: Yes, the compagnon Element Sling 11 Camera Backpack will be able to fit the Canon R6 mark II, 24mm f1.8, the 50mm f 1.8 and the 85mm f2.

Q: 7. Are there water bottle pockets on the external side?

A: Yes, the compagnon Element Sling (Volcano Black, 7L) features two side slots for water bottles, which can hold various small items as well.

Q: 8. Will this fit an ASUS 15.6" S15 Vivobook?

A: This Pelican MPB20 bag should be able to hold a Vivobook 15.6".

Q: 9. Can a Nikon Z8 with an RRS Modular L-Plate fit through the side access door with a 24-120mm lens attached?

A: You will be able to fit the Z8 with the RRS L-Plate, but it will be a bit of a tight fit. I would recommend one size larger. The Tenba Axis V2 Backpack (MultiCam Black, 24L) would be a better fit.

Q: 10. Will this pack hold a 10 inch chromebook in the tablet space?

A: It might, it would depend on the thickness of the Chromebook.

[Volcano Black] I am a very picky buyer and I have tried more than 20+ backpacks so far in the last 6 months. My search is over. I have finally found a bag that is designed really well and is made of top notch quality. While the price may be on the top end, you get what you pay for. This is a much better backpack than the new Shimoda Explore V2. Love this backpack.

[Yes] I was searching camera backpacks for the last few months. I narrowed my reach down to a couple of nice backpacks, but was disappointed that the camera modules were an additional cost. I came across the Element Backpack while watching some YouTube videos and decided that this might be the right Backpack for me. I purchased from B&H and was immediately impressed with the quality and the functionality of the Backpack. Changing the layout is simple and additional separators are included. I've used the main section for my Sony A7iii with Sigma 100-400mm mounted and changed to the camera + 24-105mm for some of my other hiking trips. I was not too keen on the top expansion when I first received the Backpack, but it adds plenty of space for my jacket and packed lunches. Rain cover is also included which can be found in the hidden compartment...which took me a week to find! Great backpack for all your camera gear and can easily be converted for other uses. Very comfortable for long hikes and highly recommended!

[Yes] Been using the small 20L version for my lightweight setup. The roll top allows me to even go for a weekend with clothes and cameras in a small package. The material has been durable for the 6 months or so I’ve had it, still looks new.

My only complaints are that the water bottle holder is pretty tight but that also allows for secure storage of any other small item you throw in that spot, so I make work. For a larger medium size bag I have the Tenba Axis and that is great as well.

[Volcano Black] First the quality of this bag is on a different level from most other camera bags I have owned. It feels lighter than the specs suggest and while it looks like a medium sized bag it swallowed up my gfx kit and had room to shove an AD400 in before I even started playing with the roll top. One point to note are the support strap clips in the rear opening, they do always get in the way of closing the zipper, small nit but it is there.

[3.79 lb] I was looking for a backpack that was comfortable can withstand the elements and protect all the gear inside. I came across a YouTube video review of it and loved it almost immediately. I'm very picky and specific when it comes to tech and gear and this bag checks all the boxes except for one, but definitely not a deal-breaker. I only wish it had a dedicated tablet sleeve along with the laptop sleeve instead of the foam ground cover. I can fit both in the one sleeve but would prefer to not have them laying on top of each other. Aside from that the bag is perfect. The X PAC material is wonderful as I plan to be in many different weather environments. The sleek form factor is wonderful and the depth and side access are marvelous. I really like the expanded roll top space for whatever I need it to be. It's strangely lightweight despite all the gear and feels really nice.
It's hard to find the best backpack for one's needs and this backpack is the one for me. I plan to stick with this backpack for a long time as it covers my daily use and travel use. I will definitely keep an eye on Compagnon products as they fit my style. Great backpack

[Volcano Black] I have been shopping for this bag for quite awhile when BH finally got one in. It was the color and size I wanted. I ordered it right away and for some reason it took a little longer than I expected to receive. The day I got it I checked their website and the bag again was backordered. I immediately opened the box up and went through the bag with a fine tooth comb. It is outstanding! Solid build, great materials used, excellent size and extremely comfortable. I am very happy with it and I may order the smaller size bag also. No regrets.

[Universal] I wanted a bag that could fit my Pentax 67 plus an extra lens, and my Nikonf2 plus an extra lens. This bag does a great job of carrying both and I still have plenty of space for my sx70 and other accessories.
