Designed for the DSLR/mirrorless shooter, the Easyrig Minimax STABIL Light Support System Quick Release Hookis great for removing bounce from walking or running while helping you shoot for extended periods without fatigue. The STABIL light is based on the Easyrig STABIL, though engineered for smaller payloads, and it helps reduce vertical vibration and movement as you track your subjects. The system includes the Easyrig Vest and STABIL Light.

This upgraded Minimax model features a redesigned spring system to accommodate the STABIL Light, which results in smoother support rope movement specifically designed for the 4.4 to 15.4 lb payload range. You can adjust the tension of the STABIL Light flexible support arm to match the weight of your rig, and you can also lock the support arm so it behaves like the original Minmax arm. A quick release system attaches your camera of choice to the arm, and an included carrying bag makes transport a breeze.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it work with Blackmagic broadcast G2 6k?

A: Yes, the Easyrig Minimax with Quick Release BH #EAMINIMAXQ can be used with the Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast G2 Camera when paired with the 1/4"-20 Ball Stud.

Q: 2. To mount a DJI RS3 Pro, what additional Hardware is required?

A: We would recommend a gimbal ring when working with the Easyrig Minimax STABIL Light Gimbal/Camera Support System, and the DJI RS3 Pro. Tilta Basic Ring Grip Plus for DJI Ronin BH #TIGAPRG

Q: 3. Will this support a Ronin 4d?

A: The Easyrig Minimax will handle up to 15.4lbs and the DJI Ronin 4D is 10.3 without a lens. You will need to be selective about which lens but it will definitely work for it.

Q: 4. The Specs don't give the weight of the entire System. How heavy is it?

A: The weight of the Easyrig Minimax STABIL Light Gimbal/Camera Support System is 17lbs.

Q: 5. Can this handle a little extra weight over the recommended allowance?

A: We would advise keeping within the 4.4 to 15.4 lb Payload Range with the Easyrig Minimax STABIL Light Gimbal/Camera Support System. The support rope movement specifically designed for the 4.4 to 15.4 lb payload range.

Q: 6. I ordered this Easyrig. It is very handy. But now I need a Stabilizer. I am consider the DJI Ronin SC 2. My camera is the Panasonic Lumix GH5s with a Smallrig cage. Can I attach this camera with the cage to the Ronin SC 2 so that I can attach the quick release ball studs?

A: If you are asking about the compatibility of the quick release system of this stabilizer with that of the DJI Ronin RSC 2, they employ different quick release systems which are, unfortunately, not compatible.

Q: 7. What’s the benefit over a spring arm when using a Ronin. Looks like you’d hit alot of doorways and it would tug on your rig

A: The main benefit of the Easyrig Minimax is to help with controlling the weight of a rig during long shoots. The Easyrig Minimax is not designed for movement. A Vest and arm solution like the Tilta Float, or DigitalFoto Solution Limited THANOS-PRO Support Vest with Dual-Spring Arm would be more appropriate for small spaces, and movement. DigitalFoto Solution Limited THANOS-PRO Support Vest with Dual-Spring Arm for DJI RS 2, RS 3 & RS 3 Pro, and Other Handheld Gimbals BH #DITHANOSPC3 Tilta Float Handheld Gimbal Support System for DJI RS 2 (V-Mount) BH #TIGSST01V

Q: 8. How does it compare with the normal Minimax?

A: The Easyrig Minimax STABIL Light Gimbal/Camera Support System (B&H# EAMINIMAXST) offers a damped suspension system for the vertical axis, thereby helping to improve stabilization and handling relative to that of the Easyrig Minimax (B&H# EAMINIMAX), for example.

Q: 9. Does this work with Cranes 3S?

A: Yes it does.

Q: 10. Can I used this with the Arri alexa mini?

A: This Easyrig model can support a 4.4 to 15.4 lb payload. Many Alexa Mini set-ups will be above this range. We recommend weighing your camera rig (lens on) and picking a model based on that. The Easyrig Vario 5 (BH #EAVARIO5A5) might be a better option, with a 11 to 38 lb load capacity.

[15.79 lb] I really love using this easy rig. I have used it as a more handheld look with just the camera and a monitor and also used it with the tilt a ring on a full gimbal. It really helps take the weight and pressure off your neck and shoulders and allows you to operate for much longer periods of time. I do wish it was a little bit higher up above your head, and that the upgrade to the one that absorbs the bounce wasn't so much higher of a price point.

[Quick Release] Great build quality. Easy to use. I purchased to save my arms and back.

[Quick Release] I bought this Minimax for my FS5M2 after looking at all the alternatives. The only camera suspension system that consistently gets great reviews is the Easyrig. It costs a bit more, yes, but the quality of this piece of gear is immediately evident upon opening the package. It’s ridiculously simple to use and makes it possible to carry a fairly heavy rig all day long. Getting different shot angles is super easy once you’ve got the counterbalance properly set. The best payoff is not having back pain after a long shoot. I can not recommend this enough!

[15.79 lb] This model Easy Rig is amazing. It's lightweight, comfortable and feels very solid. This is the first time I've ever owned a Easy Rig. I use it with my Red Scarlet W that is rigged to an average 10-12lbs and it's a lifesaver on my arms and back. You can easily keep the camera on and swap out a lens or make camera adjustments on the spot without having to put the camera down or hand it to an assistant. It's very versatile in movement and placement of the camera and I can literally wear it with the camera all day long. The only downside is, while the swivel movement for the arm is great in most cases with the camera on, there are times when swiveling is very awkward with the camera off. Say you take the camera off and you walk through a door to another room, and you forget the arm swivels, next thing you know the arm is banging into door jams or walls. So everytime I walk, without the camera on, I have to hold onto the arm above me to make sure it doesn't whip around and hit something. Other than that, it's an amazing investment.

[15.79 lb] This is a great rig and the easiest setup you could imagine. It works perfect with DSLR cameras that are always awkward to carry.

[15.79 lb] Worth every penny! Back feels great after long days of shooting

I may need the vario 5 as my rig is near the top of the payload (with cine lenses)

[Quick Release] This is honestly the best piece of gear I have ever purchased since my FS7. It's changed the way I shoot and my back is thanking me every day. The perfect weight for my FS7 rig and I can suit up and start shooting in seconds.

[15.79 lb] I was told by EVERYONE, get the real deal. So I did. The Minimax is built well, takes a 14lb camera off my back, and is pretty light itself. I haven't been able to do a full day shoot with it yet, but so far it's been really nice to have. Highly recommended.

[Quick Release] I havenâ€t used mine yet but I rented one and decided I never want to be without one again. Easier to hold a steady shot with a long lens(200mm). It is not a steady cam. Walking smoothly takes practice and has limitations. Can shoot hand held all day with C300 Markii. Easy transition from high to low angle. I was going to buy more lenses with Image Stabilization but bought this instead for the price of one lens. Iâ€m 50 and my body has been through a lot so when something comes along that can help reduce strain, I jump at it.

[Vest System] I wish I would have pulled the trigger on this sooner. I'm pairing this with the C70, RS2, and the Tilta Advanced Ring. Still have to be extremely smooth while walking but the weight off my arms allows me to hold this heavy set up for hours now.
