[6] Nice strong direct light source but not harsh, can be used as key or primary fill, removable diffuser works well for softening and use as secondary fill, very versatile and remote is very useful.

[120°] We use these with our new FX9 and found them to be the most color accurate panels out there. We’ve tried the bi colors as well as the RGBW versions and they are terrific. The app is solid and we started using them right away.

[1600] I noticed that the other reviews were for a single light or two, but this review is for the full kit, because I truly believe this product is the sum of its parts.

In ordering the full kit, everything came no problem (including the separately ordered batteries and battery charging docks - thanks B&H!). I was amazed (and initially concerned) how relatively small the box was, but WOW, everything fits in the one bag - including the stands!!! There was even room to put the batteries in there!

The lights are powerful (and completely silent), and they can talk to each other (via using the remote or changing settings on the lights themselves), and the variety and quality of diffusers, barn doors, etc is very impressive. The stands are great too, much stronger, yet lighter than a lot of cheaper light stands.

The only issue I can think of is that the DC power cords are a little shorter than I would have liked, so I highly recommend getting the Watson NP-F975 Two-Battery Kit with Duo LCD Charger (x 3 so you'll have a set for each light). The batteries are long-lasting and won't diminish the power.

All in all, this is an excellent light kit. And even though there are options to get 1 or 2 lights, I really think it's meant to be a full kit (right down to the way they package it), and that's where the remote control of the lights really works. So get the full kit, that way you'll get the most out of everything working together, which is clearly the point.

[19] Awesome super light flex panel you can tuck in your bag. No ballast required, you literally only need a battery to power these, as it comes with a D TAP cable and handy battery pouch. Includes a small PSU when running off mains. Bluetooth app controllable. 100W Bicolor, 40W RGB, and you can combine the two modes. B and H product photo is old. This kit does NOT come with the X-Bend holder as pictured. Instead it includes a one by two frame. The pictured case is deprecated too, a new sturdier carrying case is now included with the kit. I wish B and H sold the 1X2 FR GRID for the frame, as the only grid B and H sells requires the softbox. Perfect light for travel, docs, interviews etc.

[5 to 9 VDC] A lot of light for a little guy. Very easy to dial in. It has proven great for an on board camera light as well and on a stand for an added highlight.

[1600] For the money this kit is excellent.  You get everything you need for a decent portable studio.  Even a case to carry everything around.


The lights are well built with an all-metal housing protecting the LEDs.  The metal ribbed backing of the housing also works as a heat sink, therefore, no noisy cooling fans.  The control knobs and buttons feel solid and operate smoothly and the display is easy to read.  And, of course, the lights can be powered by either AC or batteries.  Batteries have to be purchased separately.

I heard some bad reviews about the included stands and I agree they are not the best, but they are more than adequate to hold the lights and they fold up neatly in the provided carrying case.

The barndoors are plastic but work nicely and hold their position.  They also protect the LEDs during storage and transport.

Two diffusers are provided for each panel.  One slides into the panel and the other is bracketed off the panel.  They do a decent job of softening the light.  Both are removable.  To use the bracketed diffuser the barndoors have to be removed.  Kind of a pain but least the option is there.

Carrying case is very well padded with individual padded compartments for each item.  Carrying straps are heavy duty and stitched along the sides of the case.

The wireless remote control works and is a nice accessory.  It is a little slow in changing the temperature and brightness but if you need to remotely control a panel, it better to have one than not at all.

Overall, this is great lighting kit.  I believe since it has been out on the market for a while the price has gone down which makes it an even greater bargain.  I would highly recommend this kit.

[6] This lighting package is far and away better than I thought it would be! Easy to use, easy to set presets and control these units in groups. I love the case for the lights and the remote control is a huge advantage for production lighting.
