Make sure the locks on the head are completely off. some tripods have a dial that enables you to add/subtract resistance but this tripod head does not. it only has a break if you engage it partially it will create jerky movements. 3. most of the reviewers admit that they are not experienced photographers or that they purchased it as a gift for someone. For their needs the Milliboo seemed to meet or exceed their expectations but for you it seems it may have fallen short.
