Q: 1. I was told this works with an AT2020 but it does not. Am I doing something wrong?

A: This would not be suitable for that purpose.

Q: 4. How well does this stand handle any vibrations? is there sufficient padding on the base?

A: The Atlas Sound DS-7E Telescoping Tabletop Microphone Stand has a standard round cast iron base that may protect the mic from very minor vibrations, but it does not have sufficient padding to isolate the microphone. Q: 6. Will this mic stand support the weight of the electro voice re20?

Q: 9. What size is the thread where it connects to the base?

[Black / Chrome ] I needed a solid, small, vertical stand... and I expected as-much from Atlas. The stand is exactly what I needed, and expected... exactly the quality I'd expect from a company like Atlas.

[5/8"-27 Male] Great product and a good price. But what can you really say about mic stands? They are solid and do what we need them to do.

[Black / Chrome ] This is the shorter version of the full-size mic stands Atlas has been selling for decades. The base is amply sized and the clutch is heavy duty. I use it as a table-top stand for heavier mics. Matches nicely with the Pb21xeb boom, but you can attach a side-address condenser right on top.

[Straight Stand] This little stand has a substantial base, and is stable enough to hold a small powered speaker for use a wedge monitor. The large base prevents most things I have placed on it from being Top Heavy. Good little stand.
