A: You would be able to use this cover on smaller lenses, but it would not be a snug/perfect fit.

A: This hood does not have front threads and attaching a filter to the end of a lens hood is generally not recommended as you run the risk of any blemishes on either side of the filter coming or approaching being in focus.

Q: 7. Whats the actual weight capacity that this can hold? The size of this is perfect for me, I need something ultra compact, but I also need it to be able to handle a 5d, 16-35mm lens, idc follow focus and camera mounted shotgun mic.

A: The Magic Rig is quite strong. Our customer reviews show that cameras in the weight range of the Canon 5D will work with the rig. Also If balanced correctly the IDC Follow focus should also work. You will be approaching the upper weight ranges when adding the FF and mic.

[Black] Very handy piece of gear for studio/set photography or filming. Sturdy mounts. Pretty stiff, so it can hold items of significant weight in position. Opens up a lot of positioning options and solves a lot of grip challenges. Pairs well with Impact Large Clip Clamp and Impact Super Clamp with Ratchet Handle. 5

[Yes] I use this to make wedding videos on my Canon 6D. For the price it is great! It is secure on the focus ring and holds very well. The handle is long enough to grasp easily and quickly and short enough not to get in the way. I can easily visually make reference points for far and near focus points simply by noting a point along the lens circumference for each. That's easier and just as accurate and making actual marks on the lens. 5

[Cloth] After struggling with the hand clap method of synching sound and video, I got the cheapest decent-quality clapboard, and it works SO much better. A much shorter, cleaner sounds, and easier to synch visual. 5

[Black] As a user of DSLR gear used primarily for video, i found it very defficult to create zoom ins/outs manually. be it on a tripod or not. This quick focus handle came in handy in my last video shoot. I was able to zoom in/out quickly without having to fumble to reach the lens during a fast changing scene/shot. surprisingly it came out good. Once has to practice to get the smooth movement fromt he different lenses. 5

[0.17 lb] I am using this on the zoom for Panasonic lenses and it works great. Much easier to achieve a smooth zoom without all the jerky movements that can happen trying to turn the ring by hand 5
