[Black] So full disclosure I bought this for a DIY project. I'm using it as the base plate on my video dolly. The weight is nice to lower the center of gravity of the dolly. Tolerances on the holes seem pretty nice. As I'm only using it for 1 purpose I can't comment on the layout. I have noticed that after about a week of screwing and unscrewing the dolly the paint comes off quite easily. I don't care at all, but much some of you might. This has worked out pretty well for my specific purposes! 5

[Black] Does exactly what it says it should. Makes the top of the glidecam slightly heavier for light cameras. I was able to mount a light camcorder and balance it correctly with this plate. I did not need it for my canon t3i however. 5

[Black] Two years ago I made my worse mistake in quite some time - rather than weigh my SONY HDR-FX7 I estimated its weight, over-guessing by 30% (the camera weighs in under 5 pounds). And in doing so I bought the Glidecam 4000 Pro stabilizer, and have never been able to use it with that camera. But now with my purchase of the Camera Weight Plate by Glidecam, I can now use the stabilizer with both my FX7 and my heavier cameras. This simple little device not only saved me lots of money I would have spent on an additional stabilizer, but I can transport one stabilizer for my cameras rather than two or more. 5

[Black] I already have a Kirk L-Bracket for the K1 but it is a bit bulky and after few few years I became aware that I would very seldom use a vertical frame. So I bought this to replace the L-Bracket and also shed a few grams. Since I have added a Pentax 50mm f1.4 (a beast) a Sigma Art 35mm f1.4 and a Rokinon 85mm f1.4 (light weight) it became necessary to shed as many grams as possible. The only negative is anti-twist lip does interfere with closing the LCD screen. A minor issue. 5
