Compatible with lenses with 52mm filter threads, the Neewer MRC CPL Lens Filter 52mmfrom Neewer MRC CPL Lens Filter 52mmis a circular polarizer filter designed to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. Constructed with optional glass and magnalium frame at 5.9mm thickness, it has 30 layers of nano-coating on both sides of the filter for an anti-oil, anti-scratch, and water-repellent surface that can keep your lens safe. This multi-coated glass filter reduces flare, ghosting, and reflections while ensures accurate color rendition. A cleaning cloth and a case are included for convenience.

[52 mm] This is a phenomenal filter. Like all other B+W filters, the Schott glass and brass construction is rugged and optically perfect. The filter ring is thin enough that I have not noticed any vignetting on any of the wide angle lenses that I've used it with. If orange is the contrast filter that you need for your work, you can't go wrong with this filter in any size. 5

[Magnalium] Note: I have owned and used the 52mm (lens front) and 39mm (drop-in) versions of this filter. I have worked with all sorts of filters in the yellow-red/contrast dimension of colors on black and white film. Of course, I always want to have the perfect general contrast filter for use in a variety of conditions, as the first one I would choose for walking around, and this B+W orange filter fits the bill for my tastes. This color perfectly for 80% of the situations I encounter. The other 20% are dramatic sky shots (about 5%, red is best) and low light night shots (about 15%, yellow is best, and brighter at night). For portraiture, yellow is usually good for Caucasians (unless they are freckly red-heads), and orange is perfect for everyone else (Asian, Hispanic, African, etc.). Since I usually photograph Asians, I prefer this orange filter. It is perfect, and as a bonus it dampens blemishes very nicely. You may also wonder if the MRC coating is worth the extra cost. If you plan on shooting a lot, and you don't want to tip-toe around cleaning your filter but would rather just wipe it off from time to time, then this is worth the extra cost. The surface is extremely scratch resistant, I have treated mine fairly poorly at times when cleaning while out shooting, but you would never know it from the filter itself. I am impressed by its robustness! The brass ring is also superb. I will pass these filters down to my children and grandchildren, and they will still be in perfect condition. 5

[0.135 lb] This filter is just right. There's a built in 3 stop filter in my Fuji X100F so adding this one gives me 10. And being made of Brass it's always super easy to unscrew from my lens after using it. Glad I bought this one. 5

[Glass] Gives more subtle results than the red filter I also use. I took a few shots in Manhattan around the corner from the B&H shop and got great pictures with the sky against the scrapers. 5
