[1.87 lb] This is my 2nd and I will probably get a third when this one wears out. It took 4 years of daily wearing to work through my 1st.

[1.87 lb] I wear Ranger Vest nearly every day & have so for years. I like them better than standard photographers vest because of the stand up collar & hood. I've worn RV in the bitter cold of Lake Michigan to the sweltering heat of Thailand & lots of travel in between. I've bought these vest before in Large & XL. The XL looked a tad bit loose on me but after utilizing the pockets to their fullest, I realized, I would have more capacity & easier access to them with the XL's (I'm 6', 200 lbs.). Also, the XL seems approx 6 longer. Although I've worn the Large RV's for several years, they are still in decent enough shape to give to my son for camping/hiking! These vest are as good or better than any I've purchased in the past. I purchased 5 (3 black, 2 khaki)with this review & may order a couple olive drab later.

[1.87 lb] A great value for the money. Seems well made and does the job. If using it for concealed carry, it is a little short if you are carrying the weapon outside your pants, but works well for IWB carry.

[Polyester] I previously bought this same style of vest (but in XXL) some years ago FROM B&H, and it lasted me a fairly long time, only *recently* starting to truly wear down. I bought this one (at the same price point, thankfully) and so far it meets my expectations for storage, fit, and feel. And once *this* vest wears down a few years from now, I'll be buying ANOTHER of these vests, from B&H. The price was right (half the price of buying direct from the manufacturer), the shipping was fast (next-day pickup at store), and the pickup and service was fast, convenient, and friendly. [Black] After having use many low quality Videographer Vests i decide it was time to get a Pro Vest to carry the so many littles items a Cameraman need so often. PortaBrace is Expensive but the quality is well above the others i can tell you don't waste your money on cheap stuff this one will live longer , so strong too. All pockets are in the best places with the correct sizes with many of them also.

[Unisex XL] I've had other vests, but this is by far the best. Pockets are big enough for a 70-200 f/2.8 lens with hood on. I bought two, one XL for cold weather over a bulky coat, and another just Large for warmer weather and inside work.

[1.87 lb] I'm planning to wear this vest while birding early morning hours on the shore. I need the pockets for camera equipment and stuff I would normally carry in my purse. On a hot day this would be hot around the neck, but most days I will be very glad to have the hood and the collar to protect my neck from the sun. I like that it's cotton and loose, thus cooler.
