Q: 5. The Lume Cube Panel says it puts out 1600 lux at 1.6 feet. This says 1200 lumens. How do you compare these kinds of lights?

A: Lux is a measure of illuminance, the total amount of light that falls on a surface Lumens is a measure of luminous flux, the total amount of light emitted in all directions. Lux is important for knowing how bright a particular surface appears. This is the crucial metric if you want to know how bright a surface will appear, such as a tabletop, reading material or photography subjects. Without a sufficient lux level, it can be difficult to read or take good photographs. Common lux levels are listed below: Lux is a measure of how much light falls on a particular surface, and can be the result of multiple light bulbs and even daylight mixed in. Lumens is important for knowing how much light a single light source emits. This is useful for comparing the total amount of light a bulb emits, but depending on its light distribution and space size, whether it is "enough" for a space or task cannot necessarily be determined. One lux is equal to one lumen per square meter (lux = lumens/m2). Essentially, as light travels from the emitter, it will disperse throughout an area. The further the light has to travel the more it will be dispersed. Therefore, the amount of lux in an area or on a surface can vary depending upon the distance the light travels and the angle at which it is dispersed. Where the lumens provided by a given emitter are the same, light that travels less distance and/or is more narrowly focused will appear brighter because lux are concentrated in a smaller area than light that has traveled a greater distance and has been dispersed over a wider area.

Q: 6. Is there any issue in mounting an Anton Bauer Dionic Li-Ion HC 91WH battery on this instead of stacking two PAGs? We have several anton bauers but need longer running time and don't necessarily want to give up on Anton.

A: According to PAG this would not work. The PAG batteries communicate with each other when stacked, the Anton Bauer Batteries do not have the communication protocol as it is specific to PAG batteries. The good news is you can still use your Anton Bauer chargers and stack the batteries for charging.

Q: 7. Is this compatible with the Godox VL150 and will it provide full power?

A: Yes, the Pawa VM-150-T V-Mount Battery with D-Tap Charger (150Wh) is compatible with the Godox VL150 Daylight LED Monolight.

A: For questions regarding Arri equipment please contact our Studio Sales team at TheStudio@bhphoto.com

Q: 9. Will this work with the Sony FX9?

A: Yes as long as you have the proper v-mount plate or/and extension.

Q: 10. What is the cheapest GM charger, that can charge these batteries? (Mistakenly bought one that didn't work)

A: The best low-cost choice to charge the Anton/Bauer Dionic XT 150Wh Gold-Mount Lithium-Ion Battery would be the model listed below: Anton/Bauer GM2 Dual-Bay Charger with 4-Pin XLR Output (Gold Mount) BH #ANGM2DGMC

[14.8 VDC] I currently own five of the PAG PL150 Series 150Wh and six of the PAG HC-PL94T.  Im so glad I invested the extra money for these batteries.  Theyre just so incredibly versatile.  Love the fact they stack so I dont need to wake up in the middle of the night to swap out batteries as they charge.  Also, when they stack they become much more capable batteries if you need more Wh or A for lights, etc.  Expensive, yes, but I believe worth it in the long run.

[V-Mount] Awesome, awesome batteries. I bought these 2 years ago anticipating run & gun scenarios where I would need to throw on more power on the fly without powering down, and sure enough those instances came up. The linking mechanism is a phenomenal design, allowing for quick power as stated above, but also for set-and-forget charging, allowing you to stack up to 8 in a single column. When my cells eventually wear out, you can bet the barn I'm going with PAG again.

[14.8 VDC] Where to start? This battery is both durable in it's construction as well as usability in that it can be stacked to add amperage to a battery powered source that requires more than a typical 94wh load, this is genius. The fact that it trickles discharge from the exterior batteries inward means you can hot swap peel away the end battery off your camera/light/whatever-you're-powering while leaving a charged battery on board and add a fully charged pag to the back. This means never having to power down as long as you have 3-4 of these babies charged up. Speaking of charging, they stack and trickle charge as well! 4 Pags per AB charging plate. This saves you space, money and time as well as weight with less chargers needed in your flight case. The exterior power gauge is helpful showing you a rough percentage of remaining battery in numeric form rather than some of the other cyptic icon systems (speaking to everyone, looking at Anton Bauer). I can't speak to the life time of the battery, but it's been plugging away giving ample charge and discharge cycles for the better part of a year with no noticeable memory loss. Do yourself a favor and stop buying cheap batteries and get some PAGs. It'll be hard to go back to non-stackable battery systems after you have a chance to work with these PAGs...

[14.8 VDC] I love these batteries. The linking technology is amazing. First day I used them I needed to do a shot where the light was on for a long time. Linking two of these together kept my light on and I didn't have to do another take once one battery died. The fact that these work with my Anton Bauer chargers is also really helpful. I didn't want to buy another charger. Each battery is also really well made and designed. You can feel safe you're not going to drop it due to the material on the outside. After using these batteries you will not want to use any other battery again.
