This 1 density filter softens hard edges and provides a smoothing effect by reducing contrast and the overall value of highlights. Constructed with optical glass and an aluminum frame, it has 30 layers of nano multicoating for an anti-oil, anti-scratch, and water-repellent surface that can keep your lens safe. In addition, it is slim enough at 3.3mm thickness to prevent vignetting.

Q: 5. How scratch resistant is this? -- Im also considering the Hoya HD3 as it multi-coating claims to help with scratch resistance

A: The ZEISS 82mm Carl ZEISS T* Circular Polarizer Filter features a world class coating, that is very scratch resistant. The advantage to the Hoya HD3, is it's anti-static capability. If one is working in a location with constant sand flying around the HD3 would be a good choice.

Q: 7. Is this limited to the VR180 Google format or can the footage be used to produce Oculus video also?

A: The Z CAM K1 Pro Cinematic VR180 Camera, BH # ZCK2501, is VR180 Format Certified by Google but it will also work within the OCULUS VR format .

Q: 8. can you manually control the iris on this camera?

A: Unfortunately you cannot.

Q: 9. What is the FOV at 60fps? 180x180?

A: The last answer is wrong, when you shoot at 60fps, it is a 16x9 format. Its not using the full width of the sensor, but it is 16X9. I suspect this was made for if you want to shoot 3d and not vr180. You can simply replace the lenses and shoot whatever lens will fit the m43 mount. That makes the 60fps 16x9 format more useful.

Q: 10. Can we connect camera directly to 3 d TV and can watch live with 3 d glasses?

A: No. The captured footage can be used for stereoscopic 3D effects or can be stitched to create an image compatible with the VR180 format.

[Aluminum] Great filter for creating a magical effect when shooting candles, holiday lights, or sparkling gemstones. I chose Tiffen's North Star Effect because I liked the natural looking multi-pointed star with a predominant 4 pointed cross and 8 lesser points in between. the filter is well made. it doesn't diminish sharpness. I would recommend playing with it for night street photography before using it for critical work. It will help you become more aware of when the filter will produce too many busy stars in light sources where you do not desire the effect. Though I gladly give 5 stars The third photo I am including is one of my mistakes where the star effect was overwhelming where I did not want it. This is one of those fingers that cannot be properly replaced by photoshop or lightroom effects. Though not a necessity, it is a great tool for your camera bag. 5

[Glass] I love this filter. I’m a lazy and cheap photographer, reasoning most things filters do can be done with a bit of time and effort in photoshop. However, why do in photoshop what you can do with a filter at the time of photographing? The effect this filter gives is so cool and the ability to rotate the angle is a bonus. Last night I tried it out with candles and I never want to photograph a “naked” candle again. The sun is now a star in the sky rather than a blobby hotspot. Decorative lights sparkle with magic and drew drops wink. It can be overpowering when there are a lot of light spots but that’s when my good friend photoshop steps back in. 5

[Aluminum] I recently purchased the Neewer 5-in-1 Magnetic Filter Kit & have been using them on a Nikon D750 with a 28-300mm lens, so far I love the results! The magnetic ring & filters are so much easier & faster to use than screw on ND filters. Before I was Using a variable ND filter & most of my images turned out unusable due to dark splotches in different parts of the image. I have not had any such problems with these filters. Great product for a decent price. 5
