[7.5 W per Port] Popped one into an Threadripper box, another into a 5950x, reboot and 10 GBASE-T recognized for both. 2.37 GB on a 2.5 GB network, 5 GB on a 10GB network but I suspect copper wiring slowing things down on the latter. Will buy again!

[PCIe 2.0 x1] I found this very straight forward to install and worked without any problem. The internal port is perfect for my Bluetooth adapter. At first I feared that it would be wasted, but now am happy with it.


Buyers should keep in mind that they need a SATA power connection to fully power the USB ports. If no cable connection is available at the location where you install the card, a new SATA power cable and open connection on your power supply will be necessary. Fortunately for me, I built my computer with a large power supply and had a spare cable and connection on the power supply available.

[PCIe 2.0 x1] Needed an expansion card for my desktop (because all of the USB 3.1 ports were on the front panel) and found this on the B&H site. I had an open PCIex1 slot and wanted USB A 3.1 or newer ports. Only other cards that fit an x1 slot were USB A 3.0 and many required cable connections. Installation was easy and performance so far has been great. Fantastic customer service from Sonnet. I had questions before purchasing this card and received a quick and very helpful response. During installation I had several panic or uncertainty questions and once again, the Sonnet team came through with a quick and much needed response. I connected my Dell U2422H USB cable, along with my two external HD's to the new ports and it works really well.

[PCIe 2.0 x1] Had troubles finding a card that would work with an Elgato CamLink 4k. This worked flawlessly.

MTU set to 9,000 Jumbo Frames on all equipment. Between this 10G card and installing NVME, plus the Sonnet USB3 4 port card, you'll be breathing life back into an 11 year old Mac Pro, still able to edit Video Live off a NAS/Server using Premier Pro, Photos with Lightroom off NAS/Server and much more. Bottle neck? The Internet LOL!!. Come on, where can you go wrong here. Im the original owner for this Mac Pro too.

[0.3 lb] This PCI card was easy to install and easy to set up. Make sure you reboot before testing the card. Works very well. Download results are the same as my Mac Studio.
